Lookbook: Sweet Guava J.Crew Grand Ruffle Shell

I wanted to show this J.Crew Grand Ruffle Shell in a different color (see this previous post in the Light Berry color). I was going to return this  sweet guava color but when I actually tried it on, it was so pretty, I just had to keep it!

Top: J.Crew Grand Ruffle Shell– size XXS (on major sale for only $14.99- hurry before they are all gone!)
Skirt: Bebe Ruffle Edge Pencil Skirt- Size 00 (similar HERE and HERE)
Shoes: Aldo patent leather pumps– size 5
It’s nice that I can wear this shell alone w/out a blazer or cardigan because the arm holes actually fit. The bottom is a bit baggier than I prefer but as long as it’s tucked in nicely, you can hardly tell.
Shop this look in similar styles:
Top:
1. Ann Taylor Loft Ribbed Peach Tank – this comes in 2 different colors and can be dressed up or down
2. Loft Ruffle Front Top– comes in 4 different colors: white, coastal fog, summer night blue, and midnight navy (this is almost identical to the J.Crew Grand Ruffle Shell)
Skirt:
1. Ann Taylor Ponte Ruffle Edge Skirt this is very similar to the Bebe skirt I am wearing above
2. Loft Tierred Cotton Ruffle Skirt– this comes in petites and they still have 00 and 0 left

I threw on this Xhilaration cardigan just to stay warm. It feels like a meat locker in my office. The cardigan is super old but I love it. Super light weight material and XS Xhilaration Junior sizes fit really nice. Target can have some good finds!
I am sure I will be posting the other colors in future posts:)

In other news, some of you lovely readers have asked why my hair is dark in my posts and my profile- my picture has super light hair….I recently went back to au natural. I have had light hair for the past 10 years and finally decided to embrace my natural dark hair!!!! No more chemicals or bleach- YAY!  As soon as I get a decent picture w/my dark hair- I will change my profile pic!!! But yes it’s still me:)

  1. I didn't end up keeping mine because it didn't really look good with my coloring… but it's cute on you! I re-ordered a couple of the shells when J.Crew started the extra 20% off sale and they're such a bargain at $11.99! Unfortunately all the small sizes are gone now.

  2. You are so beautiful! Everything looks amazing on you! Seriously! 🙂 You own all the gorgeous clothes I wish I could afford! 🙂

  3. Love the ruffled j crew top! The jeans are in a size 26, but they fit kind of big – wish I had gotten the 25. They're actually really comfortable though and I love the material!

  4. Everything is very open with a very clear explanation of the challenges.
It was really informative. Your website is useful. Thank you for
    sharing!

  5. Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing
several weeks of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any solutions to protect
    against hackers?

  6. Incredible! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It’s on a entirely different topic but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Great choice of colors!

  7. Link exchange is nothing else however it is just placing the other
person’s webpage link on your page at appropriate place and other person will also do similar for you.

  8. Excellent goods from you, man. I have understand your stuff previous to and you’re just extremely magnificent.
I actually like what you have acquired here, certainly like what
you are stating and the way in which you say it. You make it enjoyable and you still take care
of to keep it smart. I can not wait to read much more
from you. This is really a terrific site.

  9. This design is steller! You definitely know how to keep
a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to
start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent job.
I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you
    presented it. Too cool!
