I wore this outfit this past weekend and had a lot of questions regarding these boots when I posted it here. I purchased these last year and have never regretted them.  Luckily they are still available in cognac, rust and black.  I believe small sizes are sold out in the cognac color.  I’ve always been on the hunt for the perfect pair of brown leather boots and never found any decent ones. These came closest to my wish list as possible.  The shaft height is 13 1/4″ (great for short legs) and the calf circumference is 14″.  The chunky stacked heel height is 3 1/2″ – which is what I was looking for. Every pair of boots I have found either have too tall of a shaft height, the calf circumference is huge or the heel is too tall and skinny. These are  still a tiny bit wide when worn with bare legs but with jeans tucked inside, they look pretty  nice.

When I first originally bought these boots last Fall, the color was called “chocolate” which was confusing because it’s more of a cognac color.  They brought them back this season and added another color “rust” and changed the “chocolate” color to cognac. I compared the rust and cognac color in store and there was  a slight variation but not by much. The rust color (still available in all sizes 4-12) has more of an orange tint to it.  I would recommend these if you are in the market for a nice pair of leather boots that are reasonably priced.  A few months ago, I noticed they increased the price to $220 or so. I purchased them for $199 and now they are $147.36.

I recently got this reversible Ferragamo Gancini belt (style #5194) to replace my cheapie H&M belt that I have worn to death.  I still have to get it sized but can wear it on my lower hips.  I’m debating if the width is too thick to wear with my sheath dresses (see HERE). I tried on style #4120 in-store which is smaller in width and I’m debating which I like better.  Both of the 5194 and 4120 are older styles so it may be difficult to find.  I prefer a gold buckle over silver and purchased a similar style to compare it with (on order).  At this price point, I really don’t want to settle.  I like that the logo is not as recognizable as the famous “H” Hermes belt yet it’s still classy and high quality. I am also considering the Hermes Depart buckle in permabrass 32mm belt kit but the price tag is quite steep.  It’s very reminiscent of my H&M belt but I like that it’s reversible and the logo is discreet.

  3. Love this look! You look so equestrian chic ad I’m so envious of your loose curls.

I wish I could find a blouse that has such an awesome poofy bow!

  4. Love the curve in the back of the boot that complements the curve in the back of the jacket. Great riding outfit, even if only riding in the car ;). I actually don’t wear belts like ever. I feel like they don’t look quite right on me…
