Loft Sale + Fitting Room Reviews

Loft petite fitting room reviews

Loft is having 40% off everything plus free shipping!  This is early access for cardmembers – use code SPRING17.  I believe the sale will be open to everyone tomorrow.  I tried on a bunch of stuff awhile back but never got around to posting these fitting room pics.  The only reason I even remembered is because my phone ran out of storage and I had to transfer everything to my laptop. #storyofmylife LOL

Before we get into some reviews, here are my sale picks:

Loft Sale Picks:

Loft LACY BACK PEPLUM SWEATER

Lacy back peplum sweater (xxsp) // Banana Republic jeans (similar HERE) // J.Crew leopard flats (similar HERE)

You know I always complain about Loft and their vanity sizing right?  This sweater is one of the better fitting items I tried on.  Sizing runs small and I’m trying on XXSP.  It fits me nicely.  I love the bracelet length sleeves (supposed to be 3/4″ but I have short arms).  I adore the back peplum details however I almost wish it was peplum all the way around.  This is a great color for spring but if it’s a bit too bright or bold, it also comes in whisper white and turquoise bay. The material is light and comfortable – great for cooler spring days.

Loft Petite Vine Split Neck Blouse

Vine split neck blouse (xxsp) // Banana Republic jeans (similar HERE) // J.Crew leopard flats (similar HERE)

This floral tunic is pretty print however sizing runs large.  I’m trying on XXSP and the sleeves are long and the overall fit is big.  I would recommend sizing down if you can.

Loft PETITE DAISY BELL SLEEVE BLOUSE

Daisy bell sleeve blouse (xxsp) // Banana Republic jeans (similar HERE) // J.Crew leopard flats (similar HERE)

I had high hopes for this bell sleeve blouse but OMG the sizing is completely outrageous!  It looks like a maternity top.  I love the bell sleeves and was shocked the length fit.  I like the concept of the top but wish they would get their sizing right.  Would recommend sizing down 1-2 sizes.

Loft PETITE PRIMAVERA FLUTTER SHELL

Primavera flutter shell (xxsp) // Banana Republic jeans (similar HERE) // J.Crew leopard flats (similar HERE)

I’m not sure how I feel about this floral print shell.  It’s a bit too busy for me but could look cute tucked in a navy pencil skirt and layered under a solid color cardigan for work.  Sizing runs true to size and XXSP fits decent.  I think there are better tops out there however if you love the print, it’s currently marked down with an extra 40% off.

Loft PETITE PINTUCKED LACE RUFFLE

Pintucked lace ruffle top (xxsp)// Banana Republic jeans (similar HERE) // J.Crew leopard flats (similar HERE)

I fell in love with the details on this ruffle top.  Pintuck pleats and lace trim with ruffles – how can you go wrong?  It looks much nicer when tucked in (see below).  It’s semi-sheer but you can get away with wearing a nude bra.  Sizing runs true to size and I’m trying on XXSP.  Would recommend.

Loft PETITE PINTUCKED LACE RUFFLE, STRIPED PULL ON PENCIL SKIRT

Pintucked lace ruffle top (xxsp) // Striped pencil skirt (xxsp) // J.Crew leopard flats (similar HERE)

This is a horrible photo and the tuck job is sloppy but hopefully it gives you a good idea of how the top looks tucked in.  I’ve never met a striped skirt I didn’t like however this is one that I actually don’t like.  I have a similar one from a few years ago that ran small and was very flattering but this one runs large.  The waist runs big and I have it rolled up once for the sake of this photo.  I like THIS striped skirt much better.

Loft petite ruffle cuff top

Ruffle crop top (xxsp) // Banana Republic jeans (similar HERE) // Ferragamo pumps

I reviewed this top awhile back HERE but thought I’d add it to this post in case you missed it.

Loft Petite Bi-Stretch Sailor Pencil Skirt, Loft Petite Mixed Floral Lace Shell

Sailor pencil skirt (00P) // Mixed floral lace shell (xxsp) // Ferragamo pumps

See review HERE.

Lily Tab Sleeve Blouse

Lily Tab Sleeve Blouse (xxsp) //Banana Republic jeans (similar HERE) // Ferragamo pumps

See review HERE.

AG distressed super skinny jeans, Gucci soho disco leather bag, Kate Spade lottie pink pumps, striped shirt, Topshop ruffle crop jacket

Ruffle crop jacket (buy HERE or HERE, blush color HERE) // Ann Taylor striped shirt (similar HERE) // AG jeans (similar HERE) // kate spade pumps (similar HERE) // Gucci disco bag (buy HERE) // c/o Ily Couture necklace (similar HERE)

I also wanted to share this ruffle crop jacket – it’s the cutest jacket EVER!  I love it so much that I ordered it in blush pink too.  Also, I recently ordered THESE jeans and will keep you posted on how they fit.  Happy shopping! XO 🙂

P.S – Nordstrom is having triple points starting today 3/22 – 3/26! This means you get 3x the points for every purchase!  I just got THESE sandals in two colors (blush and cognac) and they are amazing!

  1. Annie, I totally agree about Loft sizing being waaay off! I am petite also, ( though not as tiny as you are, LOL), and I get frustrated shopping there, especially for skirts.. With rare exceptions, the skirt bottoms don’t taper enough to be flattering, they seem matronly sometimes. But, I am loving that red pencil skirt, and the ruffle jacket!!!

  2. This post its amazing :)!! Could you please share the size of your ruffle crop jacket? I want it so bad !!

  3. Thank you for the awesome suggestions and tips!

I’ve recently started to follow along and love everything you share. Shopping petite is no small feat (I’m 5′) and with your help I feel like I’m finally on the right track.

Will definitely be checking out the Loft sale and taking advantage of the extra Nordi points 🙂

      • Me too 🙂 scored a few pair of jeans and a striped tee from the Loft sale and love hearing of their Responsibly Anne program???????????? It’s always the best knowing your shopping in support of a great cause.

Heading to Nordstrom tomorrow- on the hunt for some Lucky booties or flats. They are so comfy!

        Have a beautiful weekend✨

  6. Hey there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time deciding
    between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.

The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.

P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

  8. Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and
tested to see if it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and she has 83 views.
I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!

  9. Currently it looks like Movable Type is the top blogging platform available right now.
(from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
