Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Reviews Round 1

Nordstrom anniversary haul review

My Nordstrom order I placed last week finally arrived.  Apparently my order somehow got lost in the shuffle so this is why it’s taken me SO long to get these reviews up.  My UPS delivery guy asked if I was opening a store.  He probably also wonders who this crazy woman is always getting massive amount of packages every single day.  There may have been a few times I’ve chased him down the street in my pajamas (lol).  If an item you like is sold out, don’t be bummed out because Nordstrom inventory changes literally every day.  I’m hoping they re-stock popular items on Friday when the sale is open to everyone. If you’re still shopping, make sure to check THIS POST out with all of my top picks and there’s only one day left to enter to win TWO pairs of Hunter Boots!

Jacket: Caslon drape jacket (xsp) | Jeans: Kut from the Kloth (size 24) | Booties: Rag & Bone | Shirt: Ann Taylor (old, similar HERE)

Caslon drape jacket – This was one of the items I was most excited about.  I had XXSP in my cart as soon as the sale started and before I could check out, it was sold out in that size (so bummed).  So if you have XXSP, I’m coming for you! Just kidding (lol).  I got the next size up and the jacket runs big. Available in five colors but I like the olive green the best.  The material is SO soft that you don’t want to take it off!

Kut from the Kloth step hem jeans – I was REALLY looking forward to getting these because they come in petite sizes. I love this step hem trend (see me wearing another pair HERE or HERE).  I love the wash, length and how stretchy the material is however the waist runs HUGE. I’ve had this issue with this brand before but was hoping these would be different.  I’m going to try a belt and see if that helps but I have a feeling I’ll have to adjust them throughout the day which is a deal breaker for me. 🙁

BP. slides ($49.90, after sale $79.95) – These are such a steal! I love BP. shoes and these are amazing! Super comfortable and size 5’s always fit me well.  Sizing runs small so I’d recommend sizing up. Available in two colors (black is sold out) – love the gray suede.

Halogen calf hair flats ($59.90, after sale $89.95) – I believe these were on sale last summer and I missed out on them.  The giraffe print is so cute and will be a nice change from my leopard flats I wear all the time. Sizing runs true to size.

Rag & Bone booties ($329.90) – I’ve had my eye on these for so long. They remind me of my Vince Camuto Franell’s but at a much higher price. Love the color and style but not a fan of the double zippers.  The quality is very nice but not sure if I can justify spending this much on booties. I personally think my Vince Camuto booties are way better!

Vince Camuto Francia booties ($99.90, after sale $149.95) – Love these. Simple and chic – a must have for fall.  Definitely recommend! Available in three colors but would suggest getting the foxy color.

Via Spiga block heel sandals  ($129, after sale $195) – see below.

Halogen burgundy suede flats ($59.90, after sale $89.95) – These are just like the giraffe print ones but in burgundy.  It’s hard for me to get into fall colors right now but if you like this style, it’s a great price and option. I’m not 100% sure I’ll keep these.

Tayanita Faux Suede Jacket

Jacket: Kut from the Kloth (XXSP) | Tank: H&M (similar HERE) | Leggings: Ann Taylor (similar HERE) | Boots: BP. runway boots (similar HERE)

Kut from the Kloth Tayanita faux suede jacket – I love drapey jackets and this is a great option for fall. The buff color will be easy to pair item with.  Also comes in a burgundy color.  Sizing runs true to size however the arms were pretty long on me.  I have them scrunched up and it looks decent but if you have short arms, you’ll want to take up the sleeves.  Not a bad price for a cute jacket.

Top: Michael Stars deep cowl neck top (one size) | Tank: H&M (similar HERE) | Leggings: Ann Taylor (similar HERE) | Boots: BP. runway boots (similar HERE)

I wanted to love this deep cowl neck top but sizing runs extremely large.  I had a feeling the ‘one size’ was going to be an issue but wanted to try it because it looks nursing friendly.  If this actually fit properly, it would be super cute. Unfortunately it’s going back. 🙁

Ruffle crop jacket (size 2 US, buy HERE) // Ann Taylor striped shirt (similar HERE) // AG jeans (similar HERE) // kate spade pumps (similar HERE) // Gucci disco bag (buy HERE) // c/o Ily Couture necklace (similar HERE)

If you love this ruffle crop jacket, the navy color is on sale HERE! I’m tempted to get it but I already have the pink and white (lol).  I have size 2 US in white and size 0 US in the pink. Size 0 US fits perfectly but the 2 US (as seen above) fits slightly boxy but totally doable.  Via Spiga block heel sandals  ($129, after sale $195) – You don’t have to wait until fall to wear these. Super cute and it’s slightly reminiscent of the Steve Madden Claara block heel sandals. Sizing runs true to size and would recommend!

Lace up back knit tank (*IN STOCK* sale $38.90, after sale $59) – this is one of those items that I didn’t expect to love but as soon as I put in on, I was like oh yeah, this is definitely a keeper! I was unsure about the color at first but now I love it. The material is SO soft and sizing runs on the smaller side. I have on XS and it fits me perfectly and my normal size is XXSP/00P.  The cut is extremely flattering and the lace up back is amazing!  This will transition nicely into fall layered under a moto jacket or blazer.

Sarah skinny jeans (sale $41.90, after sale ?) – I bought several pairs of jeans and these will be the only ones I’ll keep. They are so soft and comfortable. The inseam (29″) was too long so I cut about 3″ off!  Good thing it’s a raw hem so it was an easy fix.  It looks like they are currently sold out but sizes tend to pop back up.

Hopefully I’ll have a second round of reviews tomorrow.  It’s crazy how many items have already sold out.  This year was just pure madness! I’m crossing my fingers they’ll have more inventory on Friday when the sale is open to everyone.  I know many of you were bummed about missing out on this scallop edge sweater – will review soon. Also – there’s only one day left to enter to win TWO pairs of Hunter Boots!

  4. Hi Annie,
I’m 4’11 and under 100 lbs. Will the Leith Lace-Up back knit shirt XS fit me? The shirt is so cute! But I am not sure about the fitting.

  5. I don’t know whether it’s just me or if perhaps everybody
