I can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s getting close to the holidays!  September is almost over which means it’s that time of year again.  Woo hoo!  I’ve always loved the holidays but it’s even more exciting now with Milan.  It’s never too early to start planning your holiday outfit because before you know it, it’ll be Christmas.  This bow dress is SO gorgeous.  I’m trading in my usual light hues for this gorgeous teal color.  It’s the perfect little dress that requires no alterations and not to mention it has a bow and pockets!

I have to admit I was a bit hesitant when I ordered this dress because of the low back.  I avoid low back dresses because it usually requires extra effort trying to figure out which bra to wear with it.  I’m happy to report, you don’t have to wear a bra with this dress.  Say what?  The bust is padded which gives you the appearance of curves in all the right places and makes your waist appear smaller.  Yes, please and thank you!  Y

You can choose to wear adhesive bra cups or a convertible bra but it’s not necessary.  After taking these pics, I was like whoa, it really does help give you a lot of oomph! LOL

Sizing runs small which is great news for petite gals.  The fabric does not have much stretch so I’d recommend sizing up if you have a fuller bust or broad shoulders.  I’m wearing size XXS and it fits me like a glove.

I adore the vintage-inspired vibe, pleated skirt and high neckline.  Very elegant and sophisticated but not over the top.  The quality is very nice and it has pockets.  I love it to pieces and would recommend!  It’s the perfect little party dress that will definitely make you stand out.  It’s appropriate for a work party, dinner party and even a possibly New Years Eve dress.

I have a lot of of love for ModCloth and always have.  If you’re petite, you don’t always have to buy “petite size” clothing.  If you look hard enough, you’ll find a lot of hidden gems that are petite friendly.  I love that they carry a variety of sizes (XXS-4X) and offer such unique and vintage-y items.  They have so many cute fall arrivals that I’m coveting.  This burgundy dress needs to be in my life!  Here are some of my top picks:
