50% Off at Loft + Fitting Room Reviews (plus weekend sales)

It’s been so long since I’ve done a fitting room review post.  My local Loft doesn’t have a very large petite section however the other day I managed to find a few things to try on.  Before we get to that, here are some weekend sales.  Get 50% off at Ann Taylor with code: GETWARM.  I love this tipped ruffle shell and this pointelle turtleneckLoft is also having 50% off with code: COZY.  This tweed button front skirt looks promising and this button shoulder satin shell is so pretty.  Nordstrom just marked tons of new stuff.  If you love stripes and peplum, this tee is now 40% off (under $21 + free shipping) and my Stuart Weitzman Hiline boots are now 40% off (rarely happens if ever).  Also, my tartan bow flats have been restocked!  Vince Camuto is having an extra 25% off sale styles with code: EXTRA25 (have THIS, THIS and THIS).

Loft Striped bell cuff top

Top: Striped bell cuff top (size XXSP, 50% off) | Pants: Ann Taylor ponte leggings | Boots: BP. runway boots (similar HERE)

Let’s hope statement sleeves stick around for a little while longer because I love them.  This striped bell cuff top is one of the cuter new arrivals from Loft.  Sizing runs true to size and I’m wearing XXSP.  It has a relaxed fit even though it looks fitted on me – must have been the angle or pose.  The length of the sleeves shockingly fit me which is a huge plus.  It’s 95% cotton and pretty soft.  From what I could tell, it feels comfortable.  I like the size of the stripes and the color is navy/white not black/white.  You can wear this casually or possibly wear it tucked in with a pencil skirt or flare skirt for work.  I like it and would recommend.

Loft Mixed rib flare sleeve sweater

Ribbed flare sleeve open cardigan (XXSP,50% off) | Top: Striped bell cuff top (size XXSP, 50% off)

I’m not jumping out of my chair over this cardigan…it’s alright.  Nothing too exciting (lol).  Sizing runs true to size and I’m wearing XXSP.  I’m not a fan of the flared sleeves however the sleeve length does fit nicely.  If you’re looking for a basic cardigan, this is decent.

Mixed rib flare sleeve sweater (XXSP, 50% off)

Loft must really like flared sleeves because all their sweaters seem to have this exact same sleeve.  Not loving it.  I think the sweater would be much nicer if the sleeve was slimmer.  Sizing runs on the larger side so I’d recommend sizing down unless you prefer a looser fit.  Honestly, I think there are better sweaters out there.  Pass.

Loft herringbone flippy skirt sweater

Mixed melange flounce dress

I thought this looked cute on the mannequin and snapped a photo to remind myself to check online. It comes in regular and petite sizes! I thought it was a sweater and skirt but a nice reader on Instagram said it was a dress and she was right. Thank you @jenfordy1!

Lou & Grey patch tee

Lou & Grey patch tee (several colors, 50% off)

I love Lou & Grey stuff and thought this patch tee was cute and different from their usual style.  It’s available in different colors and patches but I’m partial to the pink stripes.  Just wanted to share in case you like this type of tee!

Loft button shoulder satin shell

Button shoulder satin shell (50% off)

I fell in love with this button shoulder satin shell when I saw it in store.  So pretty and feminine.  I was hoping it was available in petites and luckily it is!  It also comes in navy too.  This would look amazing tucked in a pencil skirt and heels for work.

One of my favorite pair of over the knee boots is on sale (under $100)!  I love the color so much – goes with everything.  The lower heel height is super comfortable and the shaft height is great for petite gals.  See more photos HERE.  Also, if you need a pair of flat over the knee boots, I’d highly recommend THESE and they’re on sale! See them on me HERE and HERE.  In case you missed it, check out my last post HERE with affordable over the knee boots for petites!

Cardigan: Loft cascade open cardigan (size XXSP) | Pants: Ann Taylor ponte leggings | Sweater: Asos (old, similar HERE) | Boots: Coach Caroline Swagger Boot

I finally had some time today to try on this cascade open cardigan that’s been sitting there for weeks.  It’s super soft and cozy and currently 50% off.  Sizing runs true to size and I’m wearing XXSP.  Love it and would recommend!

Sorry it’s taken me so long to post about these Coach boots that I was so excited about.  It says this has a 13″ shaft height but liiiieees! It does not! It has a 15″ shaft height which isn’t terrible given most boots have 16″ but I feel deceived!  It hits me slightly below the knees (I’m just under 5′ tall).  Again, not terrible and definitely doable but I wish it was closer to 13-14″.  The circumference measures 15″ so there’s definitely a gap. I can stick several fingers in there when worn with leggings.  I haven’t tried them on with jeans yet and I’m guessing the gap will be less since denim is much thicker.  At first, I was about to throw these boots right back in the box but after walking around the house, I started feeling them a bit more (lol).  The leather is much softer and more flexible than these J.Crew boots I reviewed.  I’m not a huge fan of the turnlock hardware on the ankles but they’re subtle enough that I’ll let it slide.  Overall, not as bad as I initially thought when I first opened them up.  Based on the fact that there literally are NO other decent options out there for petite gals, these are aren’t too shabby.  Are they worth the original price tag of $400? Heck no, but at 50% off for nice leather boots that will last many years, I think it’s worth it. 🙂
