Happy July! Hope you had a wonderful weekend…actually I think the weekend is extended for US readers due to the fourth of July. We’ll be taking Milan to our neighborhood parade and possibly to see fireworks but I doubt she’ll be able to stay up that late. Hopefully she’ll nap and we’ll have no meltdowns (lol). #wishfulthinking
I’ve been dying to get my hands on this seersucker apron dress so when my size finally popped back up, I added it to my cart so fast. I was hoping it would be available in petites but unfortunately they forgot about us shorties this time around. Sizing runs true to size however if you’re similar in size or smaller than me, it’s not a perfect fit. The top portion is pretty loose on me. The back ties into a bow so you can pull it pretty tight. I double knot it and then tie the bow. It fits similar to a 00 petite at Ann Taylor – maybe even slightly smaller.
I’ve been loving J.Crew Factory more than the regular J.Crew. I’ve been so underwhelmed by everything at J.Crew for the past couple of years. So sad because I used to love their shoes and dresses. I swear they have a new creative director or buyer for their merchandise because the style is just not the way it used to be. It could very well be me so don’t get offended if you love their stuff. Just sharing my opinion. 🙂
Here’s what the back of the dress looks like. The bow is very hard to tie by yourself so someone will have to do it for you. Also, it has pockets! I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the quality was considering this is from the factory line. Such a cute summer dress. 🙂
