Favorite Items In My Closet

Every year, typically right after the holidays, I tend to go into cleaning and decluttering mode.  Our house is so messy and unorganized right now – it’s driving me crazy.  That’s what having a baby does (lol).  Your priorities shift and you no longer care about having that perfect house.  All your time is devoted to the precious life you created.  Our house used to be spotless.  So clean that you could eat off the floors.  Everything had it’s place and I could always find what I needed.  Needless to say, that is definitely not the case anymore.  However, it’s gotten to the point where I can’t think straight!  Not a good situation.  I’ve always believed that a clean house makes for a clear mind.  So I’m on a mission to get our house in order.  I started with my closet which is a complete disaster and I’m in the process of purging everything.  I came across some items I have are a must for 2017!  Some of these are from previous years and several are purchases from 2016.  Click on any item you like!

1.) BlankNYC moto jacket – This is one of my favorite purchases from 2016.  It’s not only petite friendly but amazing quality and goes with everything.  It sold out super fast and then got re-stocked so get your size while you can.  Comes in four different colors.  See previous post HERE and HERE.

2.) Tweed Coat – I’ve had this a long time however it seems to always be a closet favorite year after year. The quality is really nice and it fits perfectly with no alterations (including the sleeves).  See previous post HERE.

3.) Grey Tee – This simple tee is so amazing.  I love it so much that I have it in 3 colors.  It’s super soft and you can layer it under sweaters and blazers for an easy, chic look.  I also wear it at home with leggings! See it on me HERE.

4.) Prada gardener tote – If you’re looking for a classic camel bag, this is the perfect size for petites.  It’s not too big or overwhelming and can fit a lot.

5.) Gucci soho disco bag – This seems to be the most sought after bag for the last couple of years and it lives up to all the hype.

6. Block heel sandals – these are the dupes to the Steve Madden sandals that I mentioned in this post.  I ordered it to compare to the Claara version.  Looks promising!

7.) Plaid wrap coat – I’ve had this coat for couple of years and still love it.  I was able to wear it through my pregnancy too in case there are any expecting mamas out there in need of a non-maternity coat.  It’s petite friendly and really nice quality.  See previous post HERE.

8.) Givenchy Antigona satchel –  This was a recent purchase and I’m so in love with it.  The structure, shape and quality is simply amazing.  See more pics HERE.

9. Ferragamo Vara pumps – These are an investment but one I have never regretted.  I have several colors and they are a great option if you don’t like heels.  You can dress them up or wear with jeans.

  1. I recently started reading out your blog and I must say that I love your styling and choice of accessories. Looking forward for more fashion and styling tips from you.
    Happy new year!

  2. I am with you on babies change everything. With 3 babies our house is constantly messy, and I am like you I can’t think straight with mess everywhere. I need to. I, 2 7 and 9 are on my want list

  3. I’ve been trying to find those Steve Madden sandals in my size for months! I’m curious to see how the dupes compare. I am also really looking forward to your post on closet organization – I’m struggling with this right now! Love reading your blog! ????

  4. I have been an loyal follower for a while. I am petite just like you and just like you I have a toddler on my hands. Since Ive recently graduated NP school, I find that I need to be more polished for my jobs than just scrubs, lol. Thankfully you offer such great reviews and outfits for girls like me out there, lol.
I am really LOVING the OTK boots, but find it too “casual” to see patients in. What are your opinions on that?

    • Hi Tran! Aw you have a toddler? Congrats! 🙂 I don’t think the OTK boots are too casual at all! I think they would look great over black leggings and a tunic, cardigan or blazer. OTK boots are more dressy in my opinion and not too casual. I think you would really like them! Let me know if you have any other questions! XO

      • I will most definitely try them out then 🙂
the ones you have listed here, do you have a review on them by chance?
