Shoe Reviews and Weekend Sales

Did this week go by super fast? It’s already the weekend!  Before we get into the shoe reviews, there’s still some really good sales going on.  Get up to 75% off original prices at LOFT.  Definitely worth checking out.  Click HERE to shop the sale.  I just ordered THIS and can’t wait to get it!  It looks just like the mustard bell sleeve jacket from Fall that sold out super fast (see HERE).  I’m also loving this cardigan and this lace top.  Earn up to $800 gift card at Neiman Marcus (use code: JANGC).  There are some designer exclusions but I noticed that Stuart Weitzman, Tory Burch and Kate Spade all qualify!  Get 40% off shirts, sweaters and coats + up to an extra 50% off sale items at J.Crew.  I love this cropped peacoat and jackie tie neck cardigan.  There are tons of new arrivals at Ann Taylor – use code WINTER40 for 40% off.

Splendid Kelli Block Heel Sandal

Block heel sandals // Banana Republic jeans // Lou & Grey sweater (sold out, cute HERE) // Rug

First, this photo does NOT do these sandals any justice (lol).  These are the dupes to the Steve Madden Claara block heel sandals I mentioned the other day. They arrived and OMG!  I was NOT expecting them to be THIS comfortable and fit so well.  Even though it’s probably too cold right now to wear open toed shoes, Spring is right around the corner!  I wanted to do a quick review because I know these will sell out quickly.

The quality is amazing – way nicer than the Claara block heel sandals.  The leather is ridiculously soft and by that I mean AMAZEBALLS, buttery soft.  I was panicked about the 4″ heel but don’t worry, they do not feel that tall.  The cushioned footbed is HEAVEN on the soles of your feet and feel like a puffy pillow!  I can see this being comfortable for all day wear.

Sizing runs small since the size 5’s fit me perfectly (I’m between a 4.5-small 5).  Typically with any type of sling back style, the straps are always too big and trust me, I don’t have tiny ankles either.  I have to wear my Steve Madden’s on the very last hole and it’s still slightly loose.

These come in two colors (dark tan suede and black).  The dark tan suede is a great neutral color and will go with literally everything!  This will be a great transition into Spring and Summer (seems far away but it’ll be here before we know it).  Would highly recommend!  You can buy them HERE.

Brown suede OTK boots, Chicwish Rabato plaid coat, Prada Gardener Camel Tote

Goodnight Macaroon OTK brown boots

I wanted to share these OTK boots because they fit narrow calves and thighs.  Hooray!  Obviously when I find boots that are remotely petite friendly, I must share them immediately.  The best part…they are on sale for only $75!

Brown suede OTK boots, Stuart Weitzman highland over the knee boots

Left: $75 (buy HERE, gray HERE or black HERE) // Right: $798 (buy HERE)

Left: Ann Taylor sweater // Right: Gray Lace hem sewater

This is a great deal compared to the Stuart Weitzman hefty $800+ price tag.  Don’t get me wrong, I love my Highland boots and no other OTK boots can compare however, if you’re looking for a more affordable option, these aren’t too shabby.  I love that the heel height is only 2 1/4″ – you still get a little bit of height without killing your feet.  I was a little skeptical about the quality at first but when they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised.

The leather is very soft and the boot is well made.  My favorite part is that there are no ties or laces to fuss with.  The zipper in the back only goes up a little bit to help get your foot in (mine even slip in w/out un-zipping).  The difference in shaft height is about 1″ (brown pair is taller) however I think if I scrunch down the brown pair just a little bit, it’ll be the hit the same spot on my thighs as the Stuart Weitzman boots.  If you look closely, you will notice that the brown pair doesn’t bunch around the knees and ankles as much as the gray ones (this is a good thing).  The rest of the dimensions are pretty similar however the ankles on the brown pair is 1/2″ smaller (great for gals with really small ankles).  I haven’t worn them for a full day yet however based on how long I had them on in the house, I didn’t have to pull them up or adjust them at all.

Hope this review helps you decide in case you wanted either pairs! 🙂

  1. How did you get the OTK boots for $75. They are not coming up that price when I click on the link.

  2. How do the boots compare to the halogen otk? I ordered the halogen ones during the Nordstrom anniversary sale and had to return because I could not get them zipped up. My calves are medium and even then are tricky to find boots that I can zip up. Thanks!

    • These run much smaller than the Halogen OTK ones. I had plenty of room in the Halogen boots and these fit me more snug. I hope this helps 🙂

  3. Hi Annie! I have been following Stylish Petite for about a year now. I almost exclusively purchase my clothes from your site. I have never received so many compliments as I have since I started buying clothes that you recommend. You have been a blessing in my life and have made my life so much easier. I am a mom of 5 kids and don’t have the time to go shopping, and it has always been a challenge for me ordering clothes online since I am only 5 feet tall! Thank you for all you do! I just ordered the OTK boots and can’t wait! Thanks for making me look like a stylish momma!

    • Hi Julie!

Aw this is the sweetest comment and compliment EVER! You have no idea how much it means and how badly I needed to hear this! You are so sweet and I’m thrilled you found me! HUGE congrats on being a mommy of 5 – that is AMAZING! I have one and can only imagine how hard it is with 4 more! You are doing great mama!!! Yay about the OTK boots – let me know how you like them and if they fit 🙂

  4. Hi Annie! I’ve been a longtime follower but have never commented before. I was wondering if you could provide another link for the boots – it seems that it goes to a dead link. Love the boots on you!!
