When Ann Taylor offered me a $100 to try out one of their new pants, I obviously couldn’t turn it down! I am always on the hunt for the perfect pair with minimal to no alterations. I was pleasantly surprised that the waist and butt fit! I usually have take in the waist, slim the hips and mess with the butt area to make it look and fit right.

See Kelly wearing the slim knit pants in 00P, Jean in the city fit and Sydney’s review on the slim knit pants in 0P. At first, I thought I had ordered the same pair as Kelly and Sydney, and then as I was writing this post, realized it’s a totally different pair! I am such a nerd! 🙂

FIT/SIZE: Sits really low on your waist. Measures 13.5″ across, inseam is 30″. The butt and waist fits nicely and it’s slim cut throughout the legs. Definitely elongates short legs:)  The only complaint is that they are way too long (about 1-2 inches for someone my height). It’s a 30″ inseam and I prefer 29″ for this style of pants because I like them a little longer than my regular inseam of 28″. I like the back welt pockets- makes it dressier. And the curtain waistband with belt loops is a nice detail.
MATERIAL/CARE: 68% Rayon, 28% nylon, 4% spandex. Dry clean only. I like the heavier and dressier material. Doesn’t wrinkle so it’s great for long days at the office or traveling.
PRICE: $98
VERDICT: Would recommend. It’s a classic pair that is very versatile for work.
I also ordered the slim knit pants in graphite gray hoping they would be a great alternative to black pants but the material was too casual for my taste. I just realized my entire outfit is from Ann Taylor..hahahaha!
Readers- which pants have you tried from Ann Taylor?
**Disclaimer: The $100 gift card was a gifted to me from Ann Taylor to try out a pair of their pants. I am not affiliated with Ann Taylor.

  1. For a lady used to skirts and dresses, this pants look for you is lovely, Annie. You've styled these beautifully and look great! The sleeveless ruffled top is also lovely to compliment this look. And of course, those pumps only complete a sweet look.

  2. Your legs look super long. These pants seem really nice as far as the fitting, its price is quite high but I think it may be worth the money without having to do any alterations. I have always on the look out for work pants but most are waaaaay too long and big around waist area so I buy capri type instead.

  3. Those pants look perfect on you! I agree that a 30" inseam is too long, but it seems that AT petite pants all have an inseam of 30". I would need to shorten to 27-28".

  4. Pants look great on you! It's too bad AT doesn't offer more non-black colors for their pants other than the occasional gray. Is it too much to ask for dark brown or khaki? When you said that the gray Slim Knit Pants were too casual, did you think they were too casual to the point of looking like sweats?

  5. @R.L. Hi RL! I know right? I want a nice charcoal pair of dress pants for work and haven't found anything I like:( ANd yeah the slim knit pants were borderline slim sweatpants with pockets..LOL

  6. These look great on you! Thank you for the review, Annie! I am in desperate need of work pants! Last summer I lived in skirts/dresses and tights because I did not make enough effort to look for trousers. I am anxious to try this AT option!

  7. Look at you…You're all Ann Taylored out! Love it! I swear Ann Talyor makes the best pants in my opinion. Their petite size fits me so well. The length of their pants are still long, but I don't mind coz they're such great quality!
