Fall Outfit: Plaid Check Dress and Ankle Booties

This plaid dress is one of my favorites and will be on heavy rotation for Fall. It’s so comfortable, under $40 and has pockets (yay!). What more could you ask for?

I love that it has a self tie belt which helps pull everything together. It does come with belt loops to keep the belt in place. Typically I would wear it on my natural waist but because of my baby bump, I have it tied higher. You could wear the dress un-belted but it doesn’t have much shape to it. I think it looks much better with the belt. 🙂

I’m wearing size small and here are the measurements:

shoulders 14″, armpits 16″, waist laying flat 16″, total length 32″. It runs true to size and more of a shift style dress. This is what the back of the dress looks like:

The material says it’s a blend of cotton and polyester but it feels more like 100% cotton to me. The dress is unlined and machine washable. The fabric does not have any stretch so keep this in mind when ordering. I love the shoulder epaulets too – so cute! I would recommend. Here are some other items I own and love:

I’m also loving this floral embroidered dress! It’s a great dress to throw on when you have nothing to wear and it could also double as a beach cover up. It runs big so I’d recommend sizing down.

I have a feeling that dresses and ankle booties will be my go to outfits for Fall. It’s much easier wearing a dress than pants these days. You can wear this to work with a cardigan, tights and pumps too! Here is the flatlay I posted awhile back on Instagram so you can see how it looks all laid out and when actually worn.
