Hi everyone! I’m officially back from visiting my family in the Midwest and as much as I love seeing everyone, there really is no place like home! It’s good to be back! 🙂

As soon as I saw this top and skirt on H&M‘s instagram, I knew I had to have it! Thank you to all the lovely ladies that contacted me to let me know when it was available online in the U.S. It saved me from having to go to several different H&M stores and driving my husband crazy. This set is from the “trend collection” and not all stores carry it so it’s best to make sure before wasting time and gas.

I knew based on the pictures online that the skirt would be super long and I was right! The original hem measures 29″! I ended up taking it up to 20″ in length. The waist of the size 2 runs small at 11.5″ so you may want to size up. Here is the before/after: (crazy difference right?)

The top is so adorable but it comes with it’s issues. The cut of the armpits makes it hard to wear a normal bra. I clearly didn’t have a convertible bra with me so you can somewhat see my bra straps on the sides and shoulders. I think even with a convertible bra, you may still see some of the bra. I really wish they would have made this a normal peplum top instead of a cross back style. I’m trying to figure out a way to use my extra fabric from the skirt to somehow conceal the sides a little bit better.

Here is the peplum top untucked and tucked so you can see the difference. I prefer it tucked in so it looks like a dress and appears more polished.

I love that each piece can be worn separately too – more bang for your buck! I  adore the blue print and it has pockets!

The skirt is unlined but the jacquard woven fabric makes up for it. I love it and would recommend!

My sister found this Kate Spade watch for me while we were shopping and said I needed to get it. I agreed and wasn’t going to argue. lol It’s the cutest watch I’ve ever seen! Pink and a bow with mother of pearl? I got it on sale for $117 in store. The pink color seems to be sold out online but it comes in black, gold, silver and rose gold. I had 5 links taken out and it fits my wrists perfectly!

    • Thank you Jess! You are sweet! I thought this photo shoot was going to be a fail because of the crazy winds. Luckily I was able to use some. Lol This may be one of my favorite H&M finds too! I love the print and color. I already wore the peplum top with a convertible bra and white jeans. Hehe

  7. I love all things that remind me of chinoiserie and I have blue and white pottery all around my house. I love the print of this entire outfit, great call to cut it shorter. You could always go braless with the top, I do that when it gets too messy with straps because it takes away from the outfit. Sadly my size is not available anymore. Gotta move fast with these pretty blue and whites, people seem to be drawn to them.

  9. I love the print! I was able to snag a pair online, but am not sure if they are the right size. Would you say the top runs small too? I got both in my size and now I am worried! They are out of stock!
