Classics. They’re great investments and never go out of style. You can’t go wrong with a striped sweater, trench coat and the perfect pair of pants. If you don’t have all three of these pieces, then you need them in your life!
Banana Republic has always been my go to place for classic work pieces and outerwear. I have several trench coats and love each and every one of them. This Melton wool short trench coat is amazing. When I saw that this one was made out of Italian fabric, I knew I had to have it. It fits perfectly with no alterations! I’m also loving this short peplum trench and this black/white trench coat. These shorter lengths are great for petites and looks great worn with pants or skirts.
There are so many new arrivals I’m loving right now. Banana Republic has been on point this year! Below is everything I’m currently swooning over:
Banana Republic New Arrivals
c/o Collarless belted jacket (00p)
If you’re looking for a classy and sophisticated tweed jacket, this one checks off all the boxes. The quality is amazing, has pockets and looks oh so chic. Sizing runs true to size and I’m wearing 00p. The sleeves are slightly long on me but it’s easy fix – everything else fits perfectly.
Let’s talk about the most amazing pair of pants EVER. I’ve had these navy sloan ankle pants for years, love them so much that I had to get a back up pair. They are by far the best fitting pair of pants I own and I continue to wear them non-stop. They come in five different colors and the inseam is perfect for petites. I would highly recommend them!
It’s clear that I can never say no to anything stripes (lol). This ottamon stripe mock pullover sweater is so soft and comfortable. You can dress it up for work or throw it on with your favorite pair of jeans for a casual look. It doesn’t come in petite sizing however XXS fits me well.

This holiday is so special for me and will be one to remember. I know I keep mentioning this but it’s Milan’s first Christmas! She is truly a gift and the best present I’ve ever received. Whether you’re staying home this year, traveling, spending the holidays with friends/family or both, try and really be present. Put down your phone and just be in the moment. Celebrate together and make it matter. It’s those special, memorable moments that you’ll cherish forever. Life is short so make this holiday one for the books!
Thank you Banana Republic for sponsoring this post.
Excited for you and your first Christmas with your precious Milan. Children truly are a gift from God.
Aw thank you Debbie! I’m so so so excited to spend it with her! It’s been a wild year but I feel so blessed! XO
It just keeps getting better, I promise!!! My baby girl is 4 this year and this one is truly the best one yet!!! She is so into Christmas this year!!!
Hi Alisa! OMG I can only imagine! I know Milan is too young to really know what Christmas is but it’s still so much fun. LOL So cute about your baby girl being into Christmas – just precious!
I totally agreed with you with the 3 classics. I am loving all the coat you shared.
Thank you Bookie!
The outfit is a classic!
Thank you Lakia! Hope you’re doing well! XO
I love that belted jacket! Very stylish.
Thank you Nancy! 🙂
Do you ever wear a boot cut pant? I don’t ever see you in them and wondered if you think they are not stylish or just don’t like them or what. I am 5’2″ and feel like a boot cut pant with a high heel makes my legs look longer. Jeans too.
I used to but I’ve been into skinny jeans for several years. You are right – boot cut does elongate your legs:)
Did you handwash the ottoman stripe sweater?
I washed on cold and delicate and air dried it 🙂
Thanks! Just ordered it 🙂
Yay! 🙂
