Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. Today’s outfit is a combination of some old favorites. I was cleaning out my closet the other day and did a lot of donating and purging. I have a very large pile of clothes that I’d like to sell. I’m considering doing a blog sale but still haven’t decided if it’s worth the hassle. I came to realize that being a fashion blogger, it’s easy to get sucked in to the latest sales and always trying to find the newest and freshest trends. I’m guilty of this and sometimes it’s hard keeping up. We all want to stay relevant but when your closet is bursting (literally), it’s time to take a step back. Don’t get me wrong, I love what I do and clearly I love to shop but I want to give some love to my older items. I get super excited when I find new items to share with you guys but I realized I still have a lot of great items in my closet that I barely wear. Of course, it’s nice to blog and wear new things because people usually want to buy the exact item you’re wearing but it’s not always possible. So this oufit post is all old items but you can still replicate the look with similar pieces.
This Banana Repbulic petite gingham shirt is one of my favorite shirts. I was elated and relieved when I found it (see review here). I was so tired of the boy’s/kids versions that were so ill fitting and not flattering whatsoever. I hope Banana Republic brings it back! If you’re looking for a gingham shirt, the closet one I could find that is available in regular, petite and tall is this one HERE. Another decent option is this paradise gingham check shirt but sizing tends to run on the larger side. Some other options are: (click on the photo to shop)
This Old Navy polka dot sweater is about 4-5 years old and I remember getting it for only $5 or so. It’s held up over the years and still one of my go-to sweaters. I wish they would make more like this. If you need to add a polka dot sweater to your wardrobe (of course you do), here are some super cute ones I found:
I couldn’t find any similar camel blazers to this J.Crew schoolboy version (navy color is on sale). The closest one is the regent blazer in warm camel.
If you’ve contemplated investing in these Ferragamo vara pumps, I would highly recommend them. They run TTS for me (sz 5). I have both the navy and new bisque patent. If you don’t like the lower heel, then the Varina flats (runs narrow) would be a good option. Here are some of my Ferragamo favorites:

I appreciate seeing posts of older pieces. It gives me an idea of things that are more timeless which I prefer to invest in. Loved the look!
Totally agree with your comment. I enjoy seeing older pieces restyled because it gives me an idea about how versatile a piece can be. Plus it feels more true to real life.
Love love love this! You look perfect!

i always enjoy looking at your blog. honestly, i was thinking the other day that i would enjoy shopping from your closet. you can try poshmark. its an app for selling clothing/accessory items that you don’t use much anymore. (im pretty new at it)
if you are new to poshmark you use the code: BMLYD to get $5 dollar credit.
i am @keilyn30 on poshmark. there are some fashion bloggers on poshmark that probably sell things much faster because of it. like maria from http://kittiesandcouture.com/ her closet usually just has a couple items left at a time….
you make a listing and post pictures on “your closet” and people can purchase them from there. poshmark then sends you an email with the shipping label of the buyer. the buyer always pays the 4.99 shipping. the only downside to it is that poshmark always takes 20% of the sale that is made…..
i forgot to tell you, i think you also have some fans of yours on poshmark because somebody used your picture to show how fashionable a kate spade dress is… https://poshmark.com/listing/NWOT-Kate-Spade-Swift-Dress-54c6ffcda921af19e9288571
