Ann Taylor spotted Jacquard skirt

Spotted jacquard skirt (00p) // Mock neck pullover (xxsp) // Ferragamo Vara pumps

If you like leopard print, this spotted jacquard skirt is super cute.  Sizing runs true to size and I’m trying on 00p.  The waist fits decent but the hips are pretty wide.  The length measures 19″ (hits above the knee).  The material seems nice and thick.  It would look cute with some black tights and pumps.

The camel mock neck pullover is adorbs.  I love the sleeves and the material is very sturdy and feels nice.  I like that it won’t wrinkly and holds it’s shape.  Sizing runs small so I’d recommend sizing up if you prefer a looser fit.  It also comes in a heather grey color.  This is a great top for work and can be worn casually with jeans un-tucked.

Ann Taylor banded statement coat

Banded statement coat (xxsp) // Jeans // Ferragamo Vara pumps

If you’re looking for a pop of color, this banded statement coat is really nice.  The molten lava color is VERY bright and is more of an orangey red instead of a true red color.  Sizing runs true to size and I’m trying on 00P.  The sleeves are slim and fit length wise (yay!).  Quality and material seem pretty good.  Super cute coat but I ended up getting this cropped peacoat instead.

Ann Taylor brushed plaid coat

Brushed plaid coat (xxsp)

This brushed plaid coat has tons of potential.  Sizing runs true to size and XXSP fit me well.  I don’t love the color however the subtle plaid print is nice.  The material seems pretty soft from what I could tell.  This coat is super cute for fall and winter – just didn’t do it for me.

Ann Taylor side pocket wool blend skirt

Side pocket wool blend skirt (00p) // Ruffle turtleneck (xxsp)

Okay so not sure what the heck is going on with this skirt but I was SO disappointed!  I had high hopes for this and wanted desperately for it to work out.  Unfortunately they missed the mark on this one.  The cut is all wrong and flares out at the bottom.  Maybe it’s just me but it was a no go for me.  Sizing runs true to size – trying on 00p.  The waist was slightly loose and made my waistline appear larger (no thanks!).

I loved this ruffle turtleneck when I first saw it online but once I tried it on, I wasn’t thrilled.  The material is very thin and sheer.  Sizing runs small and I would recommend going up 1-2 sizes if you want a more comfortable fit.

Ann Taylor charlie bow pumps

Charlie bow pumps

My favorite blush bow pumps from earlier this season (sold like hot cakes) is BACK! These are way cuter than the new Odette style and will sell out very fast.  Comes in black and blush pink.

Ann Taylor button front a-line skirt

Button front a-line skirt (00p) // Mock neck pullover (xxsp)

I’m starting to think maybe it’s me (lol) that’s making these skirts look all wrong.  I was looking forward to adding a cute brown skirt to my wardrobe but this one did not look right either.  I love the buttons in the front but the cut was not flattering and doesn’t appear to be a true a-line shape. I also didn’t care for the wear pocket placement in the front.  Sizing runs true to size and 00P fit me well.  This skirt would probably look better on someone else.

  1. Hi Annie,

First off, I love your site! As a fellow petite fashion lover I am inspired by your page and your outfits. I wanted to comment on this one in particular because I too have found the Skirts at Ann Taylor right now to be really difficult fit-wise! I’m not quite sure what it is but I had to return all three from a recent online order due to awkwardly placed pockets and bagginess around the waist area. I also wear a 00p but I think the stiff fabrics are sometimes not flattering or tight enough on smaller frames. I will have to try some of their sweaters though! I also recently purchased the ponte legging pants and they are to die for!

    • Hi Emma! Ok so it’s not just me? I was starting to think something was wrong with me! Lol
I don’t know what’s going on with their skirts! Let’s hope they figure it out because I have several of their skirts from the past that I love. Aren’t the ponte pants amazing? I wear them too much. Lol
