I wanted to show a different side of me since I always do “work” outfits so here is a dress I pulled out of my closet that is definitely different from my other outfits. I got this about a year ago and have only been able to wear when we go on vacation but it still is a piece that stands out for me.
Dress: Twelve by Twelve Linen Mini- size XS
Shoes: Aldo Strappy Sandals- size 5
Believe it or not, this dress is super heavy!!! You would think it would be made cheap since it’s a Forever 21 line but this is one of the rare items that is actually constructed well! I was drawn to it because it’s so different than what I’ve seen before! The large BOLD belt definitely adds a statement- love the chunkiness of it!
Okay so the length is very mini but it’s something I wouldn’t wear to work- that would be scary!!! It’s probably the shortest dress I own!
You can wear it strapless too which I haven’t done because as fitted as it is, it’s quite roomy in the chest area and I am afraid it will fall down. But I detached them so you can see what it would look like.I couldn’t find anything exactly like this since I bought this last year so here are my yellow dress picks!

This is THE perfect shade of yellow for your skin tone! I have a bright yellow shirt that I love, but it's a tad in-your-face. Your dress is very pretty.

Great color for the dress, but I'm a bit unsure about the belt…it looks a little too big and chunky.
I'll admit that I love the black stripe since it contrasts the yellow, but there's something about the belt that doesn't do your body justice. It's like it's hiding your waist instead of defining it.
You should wear the dress more often instead of only for vacation!

@stylepint- I agree that the belt is so big and almost overbearing that it does hide my waist and not to mention- super heavy too! But I figured for $40 and for vacations…I can deal with it:) This heavy linen doesn't stretch so it's very boxy.
@PetiteXXS- LOL- leather….OMG- no leather for me…and yellow leather- I couldn't stop laughing! The visual alone cracked me up! 🙂
@Karen- Yes yellow on Asian's is VERY tricky!!! I think the lighter skin toned you are (if Asian) the harder it is to wear yellow? Just my opinion:)
This is really quite a unique dress. The colour looks cute on you too 🙂 I can only pull off a light canary yellow without looking jaundiced

What a unique little dress – it looks good on you but will not look good on every petite in my opinion. I would look childish wearing that outfit because I am not blessed with curves like you.
the yellow dress looks great against your tan skin. i think i'd like the dress better if it was a little more snug again your body. you have such great curves, I'd definitely take advantage and show it off. I don't think it's too short at all — its a very sexy length!
