Yes the day is here….!!! Meet my new Chanel beige flap purse 🙂
I am SO thrilled to reveal my new baby…. I fell in love with this because it’s a cross between a WOC and a classic flap handbag. I knew ideally, I would never wear a WOC across my body (just not me) and wanted something smaller than my classic medium flap (in black). I called every Chanel Boutique in America and everyone was sold out. Luckily Niemen Marcus was able to track down the last one in Florida. I have been wanting a beige colored Chanel for awhile now but this color is very difficult to find.
Here’s a close-up of the dress so you can see the details and ruffles. I just love it! You can definitely still wear it w/lout a belt but I needed to break up the color and add some dimension. Not sure if you can tell but this belt is really big on me (I prefer the XS AT skinny belts but I had to settle for the small). I need to punch an extra hole or two so I am waiting to get my belt hole puncher. Because the belt is too big, it doesn’t sit where I wanted it to. I tried it outside of the cardi but that didn’t work either because it’s still too loose and slips up and down. Hopefully once I punch a hole or two, it will look much better!
My new baby is from the 2010/2011 Cruise collection. I LOVE the fact that it looks like a regular classic flap but when you open it up, it’s like a mini purse/wallet. And it’s not as pricey as my medium double flap which retails for $3400.
This purse is very versatile because you can dress it up by hiding the strap inside and carrying it like a clutch.

Here is the interior of the purse.
The color looks much lighter in the pics but it is a true beige and super pretty. I decided to go with lambskin but you have to be extra careful because it’s much more delicate than calf-skin or caviar leather. I figured since I already have caviar and calf skin on my other two Chanel’s, I had to have lambskin this time around:)
The only complaint I have about this BR dress is that it’s VERY low cut. I have to wear a navy blue cami underneath when I wear it to work. But I can probably get away with it if I go out to dinner or on a date with hubby:) It’s not a perfect fit (a bit wide in waist and hips) but the length is perfect and I don’t think I need alterations. So for $40 for a cute dress, not bad right?
Here it is w/the strap wrapped around once so you can carry it on your arm.
I love it but know I will have to be extra careful with it. But I guess that’s just the price I have to pay:)

I loove the dress on you! It's perfect for your figure! Since you're much bustier than any petite I know you fill out the even dress better! The purse looks lovely! Looking forward to seeing it with many more outfits. Your hair looks soo pretty and voluminous! By the way, did you do anything different with your makeup? You look like you're glowing! And I haven't done anything to my makeup- I just use powder, eyeshadow, mascara and wetnwild lipgloss:) It's the only lipgloss I like for some weird reason..I can give you the code when I get home!
I think this Chanel bag is probably my favorite out of the ones people have been reviewing. It's a great mix of form and function and the color makes it more special. =)
Love the new Chanel and especially that it's a hybrid! Very versatile. The beige works really well the purple/blue shades of your outfit. One thing though about your belt. I think it works well from afar, but upclose the placement of the belt seems a bit odd since your dress already has a "waist" that's higher. Perhaps try raising the belt or belting it over the cardigan instead? Either way, I love the color scheme!
@R.L. Yeah, tried everything but the belt is too big for my waist so it looks really funny right now. Once I punch an extra hole or two, then it will sit where it's supposed to. And I tried it over the cardigan, but the belt is still too big and doesn't stay up:)
Love your dress, sweaters in both colors and of course your new Channel. The color is so neutral, classic and gorgeous. I actually like that color more than black.

Great color choice! I like that the inside is so organized…sometimes packing a small purse can be a pain, but that makes it so much easier!
That is a great date dress! I think the bust is great…do not feel self-consious about it! It is not too over-the-top! Although, I am a fan of low cute tops, or super short bottoms for dates with the husband! :p
The dress is…WOW! The neckline is my favorite part (perv alert!hahaha..) But seriously, it's really pretty and feminine. Even though it's low, it's not skanky, you know? 🙂
