I am trying different angles and lighting in my house so let me know if you see a difference in my pictures…still learning my new camera! It is hard!

This skirt was saved from my donations/blog sale pile! I found it hanging there in one of my closets- brand spankin’ new and it fits pretty nicely. I think this was a hand-me down from years ago from one of my sisters. It looks brand new and came with a matching blazer. Glad I never gave it away or sold it!

I love the feminine colors and details of this outfit. As you may already know, I am a girly girl and love anything pink or ruffly:) This blouse I bought back in November for $34.95- see my post here. It’s a sheer blouse so you have to wear a cami underneath.

This vintage Peri cameo brooch can be worn as a pendant or a pin. I lucked out and found this random necklace chain in my jewelry box that goes with a different pendant and it matched it perfectly! Don’t you think that this necklace just adds so much to my outfit?

This would be a perfect outfit if I had my beige Chanel purse…*sigh*..but I still love my LV Alma handbag!
How to replicate this look:
I think red would look super gorgeous and perfect for Valentine’s day! Any bright colored skirt would do- check your closet for clothes that are hidden!

Shoes: Any pair of nude pumps would look great with an outfit like this.
Nude pumps are essential for petites because it elongates our legs which is always a good thing!IMG_3319
Brooch: And add a vintage cameo brooch necklace like the one I have on:

Purse:
Grab your neutral handbag and you are ready to go! I can wear this to work or out to dinner with hubby so it’s very versatile.

  1. I love that cameo!! I used to love the cameos in my grandma's jewelry box. I was able to find her earrings, but I need to look harder for the necklace. My silly parents…they have boxes and boxes of old stuff in their garage from all three children, plus grandma! It is barried somewhere in there!

Pinks and reds look so lovely on you!

  2. i love this look and think the white/pink combo is really perfect for valentine's day! the brooch goes perfectly with this outfit and adds some nice variety to break up the solid colors.

your house is also gorgeous! my fave pic is the second one — great lighting!

    cute and little

  3. love this look.. your white blouse is so pretty with the ruffles! and love your cami brooch so much.. it's so pretty!

  4. Your outfit is so pretty and romantic! I need to get a couple pairs of nude pumps… I want one patent pair, and one leather pair.

Your house is beautiful! It makes me miss living in a home. My hubs and I sold our house in '07 or '08 and are back to apartment living. I love how light and bright your room is. My husband really wants to get a new TV. I better not let him see yours. 😉 I'd love to see a house tour!

    xoxo

  5. Very pretty and feminine – perfect for St Valentines and your cameo brooch is becautiful.
I am however, very, very distracted by your equally beautiful house!

  6. You look so pretty and feminine! That pink is perfect on you. And might I add, I think I'm in love with your house!

  7. Great outfit, Annie! You look lovely in pink 🙂 I am not a pink type of girl so red probably is my subtitution for this look. The lighting for this spot is perfect! I am so jealous of the nice weather you have. Have a great week!

  8. Lighting looks better and the pictures seem brighter, I think. And your home is beautiful!

This outfit is so YOU, Annie. From head to toe, love it!

  9. You got me going on Cameo pendant, Annie. 🙂
The outfit is simply pretty. Yes, that pendant adds so much to this outfit.
You do not have any lighting problems as I can tell. Every angle and every room seem to be super bright. I really miss California weather! Oh love your floor. Maple?

  10. I think that ring with this outfit also. It pairs with the necklace nicely.
I've always wanted a blouse like the one you are wearing, and I can never find one I feel comfortable in. I guess I'll keep trying 🙂

I also just noticed your RP icon in the url. That's really cool.

  11. This outfit makes me want to say "Awww" 🙂 I love the ruffle blouse + cameo + pink skirt! Yay for finding a matching chain for your brooch/pendant!

  12. @kileen Thanks Kileen! I finally realized that my house has so many windows so every time I take a pic-the lighting is in the background so I decided to try out a diff angle and OMG – it worked!

  13. @Cee Thanks Cee! I just posed in a diff angle and who would have thought it would make such a difference!
