How to wear a halter top to work: LOFT rosette cami

I never would have thought in a million years I could wear a halter top to work. When I think of halter top, I think of bare shoulders, exposed back and obviously against my office dress code. But I figured out a way to incorporate this gorgeous LOFT rosette cami into work my daily work attire.

I probably wouldn’t wear this top by itself, even casually. It’s a bit strange on me w/out the cardigan so it works great for me as a shell.  But I am loving this rosette halter cami! The color is such a pretty and bright color. I was able to get this all thanks to one of my fav bloggers- Vicky at VickysFashion. She tweeted it and I was fast enough to be the first to respond. Thanks Vicky!

So if you have a similar halter style top and want to incorporate it into your work wardrobe, just remember to cover up with a blazer or cardigan.  Another great way is a bolero shrug or open cardigan.

  1. I think the top looks kind of odd without something covering the shoulders too, lol. I already said it before, but I'm glad you were able to find this top and add it to your growing collection of LOFT tops 🙂

  2. The rosette cami looks incredible on you, I really need to wear mine more but am afraid to get it dirty (and I wouldn't be able to forgive myself). Looks great again the navy and gray in your outfit! 🙂

  3. Pretty..pretty. The color of that cami is very flattering on you. I like the contrast of your cami and a cardigan. Your pumps are gorgeous too.

  4. I love seeing others wear bright colours! It's so refreshing and reminds me that spring is near. : ) Adding the cardigan on top is a really good idea because it makes the cami pop!

  5. I think the halter would look really nice by itself if you're just going on a date with your hubby ^_^. It's so bright and it looks really nice against your skin tone.

In response to your comment, you should try black shadow. Apply it all over your lids then apply a light brown shadow on top to tone it done. I know it's intimidating, but trust me, black shadow will make your eyes look sexy lol.

Also, about the C.Booth Licorice eye crea,, I don't really have dark circles, so I can't say it's good for that. But I still think you'll like it.

  6. I love it on both you and Cee! You always look so great in bright colors and I love that you paired this with the J. Crew cardi. I have the peachy/pink version of the halter and I think Elle does as well – love the details 🙂

  7. Great colour on you! When I saw the post title I pictured a low cut halter top LOL and was thinking "whoa how is she going to make this work?". But you did a fantastic job covering up the shoulders and back 🙂

  8. Wow!!!
You look amazing in that top. I am going to try this out next week. Its still cold in London so I can get away with it.
