Outfit for under $100: Theory Francia Dialogue Skirt

It feels so good to be back in the blogging world. I went through some major withdrawal last week when I was visiting my family. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t glued to my computer blogging instead of spending time with my parents, brothers and sisters and my adorable nieces and nephews. I did manage however to score some INSANE deals!

I probably didn’t need any more shells but I figured I needed something a bit different than all the famous Ann Taylor ruffle front chiffon and the petal front shells I keep wearing and rotating all the time. The fit is perfect for me. The armholes are just right and fits nicely in the chest and waist area. Here are all the colors of my new shells:

There were a couple of other colors that were darker shades of the colors I already got so I refrained. It was $39.99 plus 25% off plus additional 25% off (coupon) = $22.49 (same price as the chiffon and petal front shells). Here is the tag for reference:

This full needle cardigan in lilac I found in-store and was on sale from $69.50 marked down to $26.99 plus 25% off $20.24 plus an additional 15% off (coupon) = $17.20

I also picked it up in soft grey as well. No other colors were available. I find it quite annoying that it’s not as cheap online because I would like to know how the XXSP fits. They don’t carry that in-store. But I do have to say the XSP fits quite perfectly (similar fit to my fav LOFT long cardigan). If you are smaller than me, the XXSP should fit you really nicely.  Has anyone tried the XXSP?  I have this sweater in oatmeal and XSP from last year and it’s now all pilly and beaten to death. The fit is very small even smaller than the whipstitch cardigans in XXSP which I have in all 3 colors.

Here is a close-up of my BR factory necklace I just got. I love it and it was on clearance for $12.99 plus 40% off = $5.20 I have already worn it twice already:)

This skirt was my biggest score EVER in the history of ReallyPetite.com! This Theory skirt, I blogged about back in the winter when Bloomingdales had their sale and even then it was still expensive. This was hanging at a Macy’s in the midwest marked down from $225, to $122.50 and I was contemplating getting it at that price. I even tweeted about it before actually scanning it. When the price popped up as $49.99, I about lost my mind! Plus my sister had a $20 off coupon for purchases of $50 so I had to buy a bottled water to get the final price to be $30! The pockets have leather and I didn’t think I could pull it off but you can hardly tell and the fit is pretty nice! The waist is not snug but just perfect on me and the length requires NO alterations!  Another major win!! I would love a matching Dialogue blazer to go with it- hopefully next season:)

  1. so many great deals and that Theory skirt fits you perfectly! i love the color of those cardigans you found too and the XSP does fit you nicely.

oh, and congrats on reaching >1000 followers! you deserve it!

    cute & little

  2. All the money you saved, Annie.:) This outfit is super super gorgeous on you. When I saw the price of this skirt on twitter, my eyes popped out. The cardigan is such a pretty lilac color. Now I have to go hunt it down this weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. You look pretty as a picture, Annie! I can always count on you to get multiples of an item so I can compare colors and potentially pick out the one I love best to buy, hehe ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Yay for this outfit post!!! I'm so glad your back. The outfit is so pretty and you got such a great deal on everything. Must be nice not paying for taxes lol.

By the way, I used to own one of those ruffled front chiffon, but my mom accidentally washed it and put in the dryer. The chiffon got really poofy like a lion's hair haha…I had to give it away ๐Ÿ™

  5. I would leave a thoughtful comment but my head just exploded. THEORY FOR $30??? You are a master! That must have been the sweetest bottle of water ever!

  6. looking gorgeous Annie! I love the lavendar cardi with your skintone – and I cannot believe the deal you got on that skirt – kismet! Don't you just love when things work out like that? I'm liking your look for $100 or less – sounds like a future Petite Fashion Challenge if you ask me!

  7. WHAAAAAT?!? Holy deal hunting – you did a FABULOUS job! Everything looks so beautiful (especially lusting after the Theory skirt) and looks much more expensive that what you paid. Love them all!

  8. I almost bought a similar skirt on ebay for $79 but it turned out to be just black boucle and not the actual dialogue fabric. I'm shocked that you were able to find it at Macy's of all places and for the amazing price of $30! And I'm even more shocked that your size was still available! I was shopping at TJ Max recently and surprised to see Theory blazers on sale, but of course they were sz 8 and above. I think you have to track down the matching Gratian blazer now ๐Ÿ˜‰

  9. @R.L. the skirt u found sounds lovely! What size? And I def want the f
Dialogue gratian blazer but will have to hope it comes back next year…*sigh*….lol

  10. I picked up that exact same shirt from AT Factory and the same two cardigans from Banana Republic in a shopping trip about two weeks ago! I had to use my coupons. ๐Ÿ™‚ The Banana Republic also had a Coral color in XSP but I decided to go with the Lilac. Now if I just would have found that same deal on the skirt! I have yet to purchase a Theory item, but all you bloggers are really making it hard to resist. I am going to check if the very large Macy's about 30 miles from me carry's Theory. Maybe I will get lucky!
