Saturday Shopping: Forever 21

I haven’t been a big fan of Forever 21 lately mainly because of their strict return policy. Not to mention the pure chaos and crazy loud music in-stores.  And I have noticed their sizing is much larger than H&M. I’m the type of person that likes to buy and then mull it over.  I find things look and fit differently when you try it on at home.
I haven’t had much time to do much other than work but while waiting for an appointment, I was browsing online and a few things caught my eye. This sheer sleeve pleated dress (purchased) has a lot of potential. I love the color blocking colors which seems to be quite the trend right now.
This floral shirtdress is so pretty but the length seems a bit long for my taste.  I’m tempted to purchased the XS (Love 21 line) to see the fit but then I may be stuck with a gift card I will never use.  FYI- the Love21 line runs about 1/2 size larger than regular F21 items. **purchased- fingers crossed**  If anyone needs a cute cocktail dress, this sequin peplum strapless is so affordable and the measurements look very promising.
For those of you who are looking for a lace skirt, this scallop mini is so adorable but only size large is available online.  If you are into polka dots, this dotted knit button-up is too cute. I can see it layered underneath a cardigan or blazer for work.     I gets tons of compliments on my F21 striped tunic/dress worn here and here, and this green/white version for $11.50 is very similar.
I apologize again if I haven’t responded to comments or emails. I haven’t had time to do much. I hope everyone has a great weekend! If you happen to try any of the above on in-store, please share : )

  1. I haven't really been a big fan of Forever 21, either, but I love their accessories. I usually go in the store and can't find anything I like, and nothing really seems organized. Anyways, I love that sheer sleeved dress that you posted. I wouldn't buy anything from them online, though, because I haven't bought enough of their clothes to be sure about sizing.

  2. If you return by mail you do get your money back but you are out of shipping. I like this better than being stuck with a gift card 😀

  3. I'm well aware of their return policy, and I've found myself unhappy with it as well. Once I tried to return a sweaterdress after I had already cut the tag off (which is a big no-no), and they said that all tags must be attached to the garment in order to make a return, even though I had the tag with me. All they had to do to was punch it back on with one of those little plastic guns. They wouldn't even give me the value of the sweaterdress on a gift card. The only thing they'd do for me was let me make an exchange right then and there. So I ended up exchanging it for about 3 necklaces, none of which I'm really in love with. I figured that was better than being out about $20 and going home with nothing. =
I guess the lesson is you can't expect department store customer service from places like Forever21 and be very wary of making any purchases unless you're sure you will love and cherish it. haha or we could all just stop shopping so much, which is also hard lol

  4. I'm not really a big fan of Forever21 more for the fact that the ones I've been to are really messy and it's hard to find stuff. Plus it's so…young… But yeah, their accessories can be nice.

  5. I need to be in a patient mood to go into Forever 21, but I have found a couple things that are pretty cute and not too cheap in quality on occasion. I have two dresses from their Love21 line; one is actually silk (surprising!)

  6. Omg Annie! I totally saw the red and pink color blocked dress in the store today! Very cute I thought but I was meeting a girlfriend for lunch and had to rush on by…..let me know if you try it out, I might have to go back and scoop it up 😉

  7. I definitely understand the hesitancy of the return policy. I live about six hours from the nearest Forever 21, so all of my purchases have to be online. I've found their sizes vary drastically at times.

But I do love everything you bought and hope that they all work for you! I look forward to your photos!

  8. I took my time to look at the new arrivals for the dress section, though they look pretty, I just love it but not really sure if it will fit me. I agree with you since the size it's way bigger and I should put effort first to alter it before actually use it 🙂

  9. Hi! I am loving the Loft 60% off sale and have scored some great things this week. I was wondering since you are a Loft guru, if the website sales go lower than the 60%? I realize that the lower the price, the less selection but I try to get em as cheap as I can and don't know if it the sale go any lower! : ) Thanks!
