These pictures were taken while I was in Lake Las Vegas last week. It was my first time visiting this area. I heard it’s where Celine Dion lives. It used to be a really happening place until the market took a turn for the worst. It’s such a shame because it’s a beautiful and very unique area. Most of the shops and restaurants are closed and it almost looks like an abandoned city. There are still some hotels open but there was hardly anyone in sight which is nice when you want to take blog photos:)
The weather was unexpectedly super cold and windy which I wasn’t prepared for. I only brought one outfit to blog in and not sure if you can tell but I was freezing my butt off. This sweater dress fits much better after frying it in the dryer. The length did shrink more than I had hoped but it fits nicely everywhere else. It’s still roomy enough for me to layer a chambray shirt underneath without looking too bulky.
I stayed for a short time but it’s always nice to get away even if it’s for business. Have a great week everyone!

Cute. Unfortunately, I can't do much layering because I live in the South and we didn't have much of a winter this year. All of the stores here still display a lot of their clothing by layering, even though we don't do that much down here. I always think layering looks sharp, but it's just not practical down here unless it is freezing outside.
Such a cute look – love stripes & chambray together (one of my fave combos)! 🙂
I had been eyeing that loft dress for a while but decided to let go on it. I would probably find a cheaper version at H&M. But you wear it so well here, I'm swooning over it all over again! gosh! xo Nikki
Hi, I've been following your blog for sometime now and I really find it helpful for me. I'm always meeting troubles with sizes, now I get an extra heads up from you. I like fashion but that's not really my forte but reading blogs like yours is such a help. Thanks by the way. Keep 'em coming.
Love this! I've been planning to trying a similar look with this dress: http://natashafatah.blogspot.com/2012/03/indian-bee.html

adorable outfit! That belt looks great with that dress! 🙂
I love it. You accessorzed it quite well. Ooh i WANNA wear mines today!
The sweater dress look so much better shrunken. Beautiful background.
I'm surprised the dress doesn't look bulky but I guess the roominess makes up for it. Looks great! : )
love this….
this is such a beautiful outfit! i never would've thought of wearing a chambray shirt underneath a striped dress. 😉

Love these pictures, Annie! You look so beautiful.
Honestly I thought you hemmed the dress. Didn't know it would shrink that much. It took the length off by 3 inches, about? Anyways, looks great now. 🙂
Love this complete look! 🙂

The dress fits you really well after washed. What a nice area for blog photos! It's finally getting warmer in the Midwest. Congrats on 2yr blog anniversary, Annie!
I can't believe you take all of those photos yourself!!! they are AMAZING!! and I love the stripes with chambray. 🙂
While I think the whole outfit is tops, what I really love are the cognac accents from your belt, clutch and shoes. It makes it look a bit dressier than just the dress and chambray shirt. 🙂 I might be a bit biased because that is part of my spring color palette. 🙂 hehe
Love the layering with this one Annie, and I can't tell at all you're freezing LOL!
Seamless layering. Great job!
