Green, Dots and Stripes

Top: H&M divided {recent} $5.97 – size 2 (similar here and here and here)
Skirt: Ann Taylor – size 00P (buy here and here)
Purse: Vintage Coach gifted by MIL
Shoes: C/O Alonai – size 4 (similar here and here)
Sunglasses: Chanel Style# 5197H {recent }

I’m not usually a t-shirt/tee type of girl but if it’s fitted and cute like this one, I can deal with it. I thought this was adorable and the price tag of $5.97 – $5.00 gift card = .97 was do-able 🙂  The dots are navy not black but it’s hard to tell by the pictures.

Lately I have been playing with mixing patterns. It’s definitely outside of my comfort zone but am having fun trying new things. I even tried this (see below)- inspired by a pic I saw in J.Crew’s catalog. The natasha polka dot top I wanted to pair with the polka dot skirt was too big.  Just FYI- the polka dot pencil skirt in 00P is also too big by about 1″ in the waist and hips. I love it so much that I am going to either try to shrink it or get it slimmed.  I also got this big dot circle skirt but that was also too big so it went back.

If you follow me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram – you may have heard that I found a different pair of Chanel sunglasses – #5197H {recent style}.  After much debate, I have decided to keep these. They fit much better on my nose bridge and the price tag was cheaper too (major plus). My sunglass hunt is now complete. YAY!

What are your thoughts on these sunglasses?

  1. i think the tee is actually quite flattering!! and its adorable with that belt. these sunglasses are pretty, but so were the last ones. these may be more versatile, actually. have a good sunday!
    Easy Petite Looks

  2. I love the dot t-shirt w/ the polka-dot skirt. too bad it's a tad bit big on you.
How do you shrink your clothes?
I feel like every time I do laundry, I put it on the highest setting or permanent press, whatever it's called, bc there's a pair of pants or something I'm trying to make smaller lol.

  3. I love this outfit. I think I might even like the green skirt better than the polka dot one. It sets it off really well and I love your hair pulled off to the side! So different! Your shoes are to die for!

  4. Love the dots and green, and also the dots with dots!!!!! Very cool vintage Coach bag!

  5. Only a shameless copycat would be so careful/paranoid as to selectively pre-screen reader comments. Why not be brave like all the other bloggers? What is there to hide? Do you know that readers of the other blogs are referring to you as a "dollar-store copy"?

Please, Annie, you are much better than this. Try to show people how creative and original you can be too.

  6. Am in love with the top and totally jealous! Also it's your fault I am now going to look for a green skirt.

  7. OMG this blog is ridiculous, Annie only wants to show the post that are all positive. Can you take some criticisms? I posted about a day ago commenting on your sunnies and i said that i think it is too big for your face. Where is the comment???? You are so pathetic for screening only comments that you like.. booo

  8. I usually wash on high and dry on the highest heat setting. It's always risky so be careful 🙂 It's not always successful for me but depending on the fabric, it usually works enough for me to get by. I haven't had the guts to shrink the skirt yet…nervous:)

  9. I really love your site.. Very nice colors & theme. Did you create
this site yourself? Please reply back as I’m hoping to create
my own personal website and would love to learn where you
got this from or what the theme is called. Kudos!

  10. I was recommended this web site by my cousin. I’m not sure whether this post
is written by him as no one else know such detailed about my trouble.
    You’re incredible! Thanks!

  11. I have read some good stuff here. Definitely price bookmarking for revisiting.

I wonder how much effort you set to make this type of great informative web site.

  12. When I originally left a comment I appear to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on whenever a comment is added I recieve four emails
with the same comment. Perhaps there is an easy method you are
able to remove me from that service? Many thanks!
