I fell in love with this jacket when I first saw it online. As soon as I noticed the cropped cut and how reminiscent it was to the Theory Gratian blazer, I didn’t even think twice about ordering it.
MEASUREMENTS:
Shoulder to shoulder = 13″
Armpit to armpit = 15″
Sleeves = 22″
Total length at the shortest point = 15″
Longest point = 17″
MATERIAL: 100% cotton – it’s really stiff and almost feels like a thick linen fabric. I didn’t like the material. I wish it was as softer cotton.
SIZE: 00P – this runs super small ( you may need to size up) which is great for someone smaller than me. The sleeve length fits with no alterations. I love the cropped style and it looks great with both a pencil skirt and jeans/pants.
COLOR: The color is called coral reef. It’s a stunning color and can add great color to your wardrobe.
I could have done without the zipper detail but I guess that’s what makes it a “modern” style. The price is very steep so wait for a sale if you can.
VERDICT: Undecided. Trying to figure out if I will wear it often enough and if I can live with the stiff material.
What are your thoughts on this modern tweed jacket?
I do love the colour and length on you but the material is really not good plus the shoulders look a little big – you can do better!
I like the color and the look of the tweed, but I'm not really a fan of the silhouette it gives. It seems to have a strong shoulder (which in general, I love), but in combination with the cropped look, it seems rather dated, IMO. You can do better!
I don't love it. Pretty colour, but the shape is very boxy.

Annie, you're one of the most beautiful women anywhere in the world. This outfit and this coral blazer are both lovely. I could probably see the blazer being good even for casual outfits. Looking great!

I love the color but not too sure about the strong shoulder. I say you can find something better.
love the jacket! the color is a classic one, easy to incorporate in future outfits (from other seasons). I hope you will keep it.

This jacket is not talking to me, Annie. I want to love it but just can't. I agree with you that the material is stiff. I saw it in store and didn't even bother trying it on because of the material. The sleeves seem too roomy too. Love your vintage Chanel brooch though. lol.
I think I like the Theory silhouette better. Even this is a little too cropped for your body – and you are super short!
The jacket looks totally amazing π my sister has one and she wears it every single day! Her's is from zara though π x
I adore it- I think that you could wear it so many ways. And even though I'm not petite (5'7" and a size 8), I absolutely love your blog. And I show it to my friends because your styling is impeccable. π
I love the color on you!
The jacket looks amazing on you… it looks as if it was made for you.. (no tailoring needed on this!)
The stiffness will go away with wear if you're willing to wait it out. Great color!

It's a very pretty color…I really want to try this one on!
I love that color!! But the shoulders look too big. Argh, I hate that. Would alterations be worth it? Hmm…
Not a fan. Like someone earlier, it reminds me of the 80s. The cropped look is not flattering this time around.
