Review: ASOS Petite Scarf Print Dress

ASOSscarfPrintDress1.jpg
Dress: ASOS – size 1 petite (buy here or here in midi length)
Shoes: Classiques Entier – size 5 (buy here)

SIZE/FIT:  Size 1 petite is very form fitting and short. It’s just too sexy for my taste although I like the concept of it. Too bad it wasn’t better quality.

MEAUSUREMENTS: Shoulder to shoulder = 10″, armpit to armpit = 12″, Total length = 31″

MATERIAL/QUALITY: 95% polyester, 5% elastane. The material is very thin and see through. How unfortunate because I love the print but expected this poor quality from ASOS. It almost feels like sleepwear but I do have to admit, it does feels nice against your skin. Perhaps it could work for a vacation dress.

PRICE: For $43, it’s not worth it. Maybe for $10? Lol. I think there will be better options at H&M.

VERDICT: Return.
It also comes in blue and a midi length.

I tried to see if I could make it work as a top but still doesn’t do anything for me.

  1. I absolutely love it. I think it would great for a vacation on the beach with bikini underneath if it was really thin. I love love love the pattern, its so summer appropriate. I wish you could send it to me!!

  2. Too bad I really like it on you!!
Plus the top idea is really great!

  3. I'm not feeling the chain print with the form fitting style, so I vote return too. I feel like there's been a lot of similar prints like this out this season, ie: at H&M and Zara, so definitely hold out for something better!

  4. I think it is a very cute, summer-time dress that shows off your figure perfectly. However, if it is see-through, and it would make you self-conscious, it's not worth it. I think you really need to love it to buy it; and feel 100% confident, otherwise you will regret it.

  5. I doesn't seem your style and for $43 you could find better. Return

  6. I love the print! I actually think the dress looks great on you! You have a great figure

  7. Are you kidding? You are beautiful, with an absolutely amazing figure! You looking incredible in this dress. Keep it!

  8. I happen to like this dress on you, not as a T-shirt though. I think it'll help toning down the sexiness and look very cute if you throw a boyfriend blazer over it. 🙂

  9. I was wondering how it would look on a petite. If it's short on you, it'll definitely be too short for my taste too, seeing I'm 5'3! So I'm glad you did a review!

  10. I have a dress with similar fit. I got rid of it because of those lines at the back. I always thought it meant I should have taken a larger size. What do you think?

  11. I really like the print on this dress but you are right… as I have been visiting your blog for a while I got a sense of your classy and chic style so this dress does not suit! Good call!
Also wanted to say "Thank you!" for the tip of rolling clothes when packing on your last post. I will have to try it on my next vacation.
I am following you now! I would truly love it if you could check out my new blog and follow back!
Thank you. Hope you have a wonderful day!

  12. I don't think that's necessarily always the case. As you can see, where the lines are is not skin tight on me- it's actually just skimming my waist/body. I think it all depends on the cut/style of the dress 🙂

  13. The print is so pretty but I wish it were less body-con and a tad longer. You can definitely pull it off with your figure but not something office-friendly without a bunch of layers 🙂

  14. Looks alright as a top, but you're right, maybe HM has better options!

  15. Not a fan of the print, too tight at the boobs… but I guess that was the look you're going for.
