Sale Alert: J.Crew Wool Pants for $35

Today is the last day for 30% off sale items at J.Crew (use code: MUST HAVE). I picked up a few pairs of pants to try.

Cafe capri in wool pants (retro jade and dark saffron)

The above colors are $35 after the 30% off (use code: MUSTHAVE) I wanted the dark saffron but they are currently sold out in 00P so I bought the retro jade.
Cafe capri wool pants (modern red, navy, saddle and heather grey)
These colors along with a few others are $68.60 after the promotion. It’s still a bit expensive but not bad if you like wool pants. I bought the navy to try out.  I really love these cafe capri in winter white wool but I don’t see any petite sizes available. After my failed Ann Taylor winter white pants, I have decided I prefer cropped/ankle pants. I bought both the signature sporty twill pants and the modern cut and they fit completely different. See me trying on the signature ones here. They look awkward. The modern cut are huge and super long. I didn’t even bother taking a picture or doing a review on either. My search for winter white wool pants continues.
I also got these in minnie pants in bi-stretch wool (heather caramel). These are not on sale and doesn’t qualify for the promotion but I really love the color and want to compare the fit to the cafe capris.  I’ve been looking for a camel colored pair of cropped wool pants and these fit the bill.
Do you own any of the above and how do they fit?

  1. I have the retro jade cafe capri and they are quite nice. I just wish the fabric is not as ” itchy” as it is. Since this is not lined, if you have sensitive skin, I would stay away from it. But the sale price is certainly attractive.
