I’m happy to report that the Four Seasons Resort in Bora Bora has lived up to all the hype. Since visiting Bora Bora back in 2010, it’s been a dream of mine to go back for a second time. After reading all the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, I was convinced that I had to stay at the Four Seasons. There’s so many great photos to share so I’ll have to split them up into few different posts.
We were picked up in this beautiful boat which I envied when I stayed at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui. When we arrived, we were greeted by Borja (adore him), the Guest Services Manager and he instantly knew our names. There were several other couples with us so I thought that was a very nice touch. Unfortunately, I had a severe allergy attack upon arrival so I could hardly see or enjoy the beauty. I was praying it would get better and not last the duration of our trip. I must have been allergic to the Lei that we received and sadly had to throw away. 🙁
Luck must have been on our side because our room was ready immediately. Usually check in isn’t until 3:00 and we had arrived in the early morning. We were escorted to our room and found a bottle of champagne, cake and fresh fruit platter. That’s not a bad way to start your vacation.
I have a video of the over water bungalow we stayed in that I’ll show you in another post. Here’s a video of the beach that I posted on Instagram:
Beach side service was phenomenal. They would bring you cold ice water almost every hour, samples of drinks and wet hand towels to cool you down. They would also come change out your wet chair towels so when you came back from swimming or lunch, you’d have fresh beach towels. The best part of the resort is they offer unlimited and complimentary SPF, Aloe and sunglass wipes. Usually at other hotels, you have to check in your beach towel and are only provided with one for the entire day right? Here are the Four Seasons, they set up the beach chairs with towels in advance and you have unlimited access to as many towels as you want or need throughout the entire day. This alone was worth it!
Bikini Top: Venus Swimwear
Hat: Target (buy here or cute here and here)
I can’t say enough great things about the service at the Four Seasons. Most of the staff knows and greets you by your names – even the ones you’ve never even met. I have no idea how they manage to do this but it’s truly amazing! Everyone seems to be really happy to see you and cater to all your needs. If you are looking for excellent service and to be pampered, then look no further.
I don’t know what it is but I have a strange connection with this island. I thought this was going to be my last time going back but now I have to go back again! It’s like food for my soul. It’s normally hard for me to fully relax but I finally was able to on this vacation and now feel re-energized.
I’m so grateful and blessed I’m able to experience this and would recommend to anyone thinking of going. It’s a memory and life experience that you can’t put into words or even capture on camera. I’ll talk about the food and share more photos soon! 🙂
looks amazing! and that’s so great you were able to relax and enjoy this holiday!
Thanks Elena! It was a much needed vacation! 🙂

Oh wow this looks absolutely relaxing! How deep was the water from the bungalow? Is it standable lol should one fall over?
The water near the bungalow is pretty deep…not sure how deep but the beach part is less than 5 feet 😉

I wish I was still there Lily! I hope to go back again in the future.
As far a work outfit routine, I’m embarrassed to say I don’t have one but should. However, I do walk a lot which prob helps 🙂

Gorgeous photos Annie! I feel like I could reach through the screens and touch the sand and the water because the clarity is unbelievable. You’re so blessed to go twice and I hope you continue to go back if that’s what makes you happy. Quality downtime is so important. I can’t wait to see the second part of your review. Hopefully I can go somewhere nice and warm in the near future and I’ll be looking to you for ideas. <3
Thanks Jess! I would highly recommend Bora Bora for your honeymoon! It’s the most romantic and breathtaking place I’ve ever seen. I hope I get to go back again 🙂
