I’ve been wanting this heather acorn skirt for almost a year (see here) and finally decided pulled the trigger.  During J.Crew’s recent sales, I picked up three colors in the No. 2 pencil skirts (dried papaya + pinot noir). Still debating if I’ll be keeping all of them.

J.Crew No. 2 pencil skirts run big on me so I have it cinched with my belt and will take it to the tailor soon.  I decided that these are worth the cost of alterations because of the quality and classic style.
(Measurements of 00P: 13″ waist, 16″ hips, 21″ length)

I wanted to share this Loft blouse (currently 40% off) before it sells out. It’s so feminine and drapes very nicely.  It looks great tucked in or you can wear it casually with jeans. Love the delicate lace and cuff details. Most of my Loft blouses are made out of this silky polyester and is so easy to wear to work.

I recently added this berry color to my shoe collection but I was disappointed to find that these Everly pumps run bigger than the Mona pumps. Typically J.Crew shoes run about 1/2 size smaller compared to Ann Taylor. I’m wondering maybe it’s just a fluke and the pair I got runs big? Regardless, I still love them and the color is so pretty!

  1. Love the skirt. You look great as always! I have been eyeing this skirt since its debut. I have yet to try any article of clothing on at JCrew and have only popped my head into one of their stores in Chicago when visiting in August. I am afraid I might like it. Lol. I just don’t think I can’t part with $130 for one of the skirts (but then I can justify for shoes or a bag). Its so beautiful!!!!! I might need to at least trrrrryyyyyy it on. haha

  2. Beautiful neutral outfit Annie! I love the berry pumps for the pop of color but I’m sorry to hear they run a little big for you. Remember to put those inserts in the back to correct the issue. πŸ™‚

  3. This is a classy outfit, but it wouldn’t be as fun without those suede magenta pumps and the animal print clutch. The blouse is gorgeous. The skirt and necklace are both very charming. Exceptional style from a stylish lady like yourself.

  4. Sweet blog! I found it while browsing on Yahoo News.
Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo News?
I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to
    get there! Thank you

  5. Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?

I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but
I’m having a difficult time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different
then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.

P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
