Classic Trench in Navy – size XXSP (buy here)
This fits nicely except for the sleeves. I’ll need to take it a couple of inches if I decide to keep it. It’s well made and has all the qualities of a classic trench – button epaulets, buckle belt, button-tab cuffs, notch collar, and center back vent. It’s fully lined and is machine washable.
Measurements: Shoulder to shoulder 14″, armpit to armpit 15.5″, sleeve length 24″, total length 33.5″
I adore the striped lining inside! The color may look black but its a true navy in real life.

I’m still kicking myself for not buying this trench from last February! I think I was in a rush and didn’t really think it through. When I got home and called the store, it had already sold. Since then, I’ve been hoping this would come back. As you can see, the XXSP fits much better on me than the XSP.

I scored this striped peplum sweater in store for $13.50 but I see it’s much more expensive online. Use code: BRSALE50 for 50% off sale items. I realized that the petite sizes are marked down to $69.99 while the regular sizes are on sale for only $39.99? Very strange.
I also saw these cute bowtie bracelets at Brooks Brothers. They are adjustable and very expensive at $58. It looks like it would be a pretty fun DIY project. I would make the bowtie a bit smaller for those with smaller wrists. It’s also available in plaid.
If you follow me on Instagram, I’ve been raving about how much I love these pumps! I ordered both the 4.5 and 5’s and ended up keeping the 4.5’s. I’d say they run TTS so it’s safe to order your normal size. The 4.5’s fit me similar to the J.Crew size 5 – no heel gap! The heel height measures 3.5″ even though it states 3 1/4″ online. They seem pretty comfortable when trying on at home but will update once I wear them for a full day. I like that the bow isn’t too big or pouffy and looks good from every angle. The only negative I have with these pumps is the noticeable stitching on the flaps of the bows. I’m not sure why they chose to do this because the underside doesn’t have it. So strange! Nonetheless, I love them and definitely keeping!

The navy trench is adorable. I have the black one from last year from BR and wish I hadn’t bought it. The sleeves are WAY too long, the belt too long and I really need to just bite the bullet and get it altered. I love the bow pumps!

I didn’t get to try it on this weekend but hopefully soon. I know! 🙁 Last year’s looks like it fits better based on the side by side pictures but we’ll see when you get your correct size in the mail for this year’s version. I was too lazy to ask for my size but the stitching on the bows was noticeable and I smiled a little when you wrote that. It doesn’t look bad though and it’s a really cute cut. I would have gotten them if they were more of a round toe.
So I was actually in Nordies returning the 50/50 boot that J got me because they are so tall! It looked ridiculous on me especially when I sit down. Next time I’ll just save myself the trouble and listen to you.
