J.Crew Short Sleeve Crepe Dress – size 00P (buy here or in black)
Necklace: c/o Stella & Dot (buy here)
Measurements: shoulder 13″, waist 12″, 18.5″, length 33.5″
I adore this dress! The crepe material hangs very well and the silhouette is very flattering. I love that it has sleeves which means I don’t have to throw a blazer over it for work. It fits me quite well except the hips are a bit wider than my other J.Crew dresses. Love and would recommend.
J.Crew Gwen Dress – size 00P (buy here)
Shoes: J.Crew – size 5 (buy here)
Purse: Kate Spade (buy here)
This is another winner from J.Crew. It’s a simple sheath dress and fits really nice. The only negative thing I can is the front side slit is a bit too Ally Mcbeal for me and wish it was the classic back slit. It’s not too noticeable except for when I walk. The color is gorgeous and I always feel great at work when I wear J.Crew dresses. The quality is amazing and both are classic work dresses I can wear for a long time.
ASOS scallop skater dress – size US 0 (buy here in 3 colors)
Belt: Kate Spade (buy here)
Necklace: c/o Stella & Dot (buy here)
I wanted this dress to work out so bad but the neckline is a bit too low for me. It’s not terribly bad but I know I’ll feel uncomfortable in it. Clearly it’s not a work appropriate dress but could be cute for date night. The fabric is thin and unlined so you’ll definitely need some type of shape-wear. Returned.
ASOS scallop skirt – size US 1 (buy here)
Measurements: waist 12 7/8″, length 14″
This skirt is super cute but way too short for me. I’d be afraid to bend over (even with tights). I wish it was longer and came in other colors. If you don’t mind the mini length, this is a great scallop skirt. I like that the scallops are perfectly cut and sized. The quality and price are decent.
Chicwish Scrolled Trim Bud Skirt (buy here)
Measurements: waist 13 1/4″, length 15.5″
Measurements: waist 13 1/4″, length 15.5″
I knew this skirt would be too big in the waist based on the measurements online but can be easily taken in since the zipper is in the back. I got it for around $26 with free shipping so I can’t complain. The material is a 80% cotton, 15% polyester and 5% viscose. It’s thinly lined and the scallops aren’t perfect. This was my first time ordering from Chicwish so was a bit nervous. The quality isn’t as bad as I expected and is comparable to H&M. I love the bright yellow color and the length is doable for casual wear. It’ll be a fun Spring/Summer skirt.
Necklace: c/o Stella & Dot (buy here)
Measurements: Waist 12″, length is 17″
I first saw this skirt in store and thought it was so adorable. It’s so unique with the thick striped waist band. It looks just “meh” online and I don’t understand why the model is covering up the waist with the top she’s wearing. Makes no sense to me because that’s what drew me to the skirt in the first place! I was a bit disappointed that the length was 1″ shorter than what it stated online for petite sizing. I would have preferred it be longer. This skirt is very pricey but that’s what you get for Anthro. Plus side is that it has pockets and is very well made.
Ann Taylor Zebra Jacquard Topper – size XXSP (buy here)
I thought the zebra print would be fun and interesting to add to a simple outfit. I like the length and overall fit but the sleeves are wide. The sleeves are 3/4″ sleeves which I don’t mind since I have short arms and usually have to hem all my sleeves. I like this coat but certainly don’t love it. I think the animal jacquard coat is much nicer. I also got the Abstract Jacquard Coat (buy here) but didn’t bother taking pictures. It runs large and long. Didn’t care for it at all. Returned.
Romwe Leopard Print Coat – size small (buy here)
This was my first time ordering from Romwe and I had no idea what to expect. The leopard coat looked really promising online and the cut seemed classic enough so I went for it. I was very disappointed when receiving this. It’s a very thin material (almost paper thin) and the quality is not that great. I was too lazy to send it back so I’m stuck with it for now. I played around with it and moved some of the snap buttons to make some lapels. It seemed to help the shape of the coat a little bit. The sleeves are slim and slightly long but not bad. Unfortunately, I have two more items coming from this company and I hope it works out better than this one.
I just picked up the red dress from J.Crew last night haha! They didn’t have petite left but I’m going to bring it to my tailor- it was super cheap with all the discounts. I agree that the neckline is too low on the Asos dress- too bad because it’s really cute! But way too much cleavage haha! And I wish that yellow scallop skirt was longer too! It’s soooo cute!
Can’t wait to see it on you! It’s such a gorgeous dress. The length of the yellow scallop skirt is doable but the black one is way too short 🙁

HI, Annie, I would like first to compliment on your gorgeous figure, you have beautiful proportions! You pull off feminine style beautifully, I especially liked your red dress, and all the shoes that you are wearing on the pictures, if you could post the brand of the shoes in your next post that would be great! Thank you. Have a nice weekend and feel free to visit my blog too, I will be very happy to hear your feedback! with <3 Zhanna from http://www.stylehenge.com
Those J. Crew dresses look great on you. Especially like the red color! I also picked up the abstract jacquard coat and liked that it was a little larger to accommodate more layers underneath. Not sure that I would classify it as jacquard, though– it felt more like a knit.
All three dresses are beautiful in this post. I equally love the burgundy and the royal blue dresses. I’d probably love that kelly green dress the most if it were in burgundy. The skirts you worn look nice. Looking lovely, as always, Annie.
