Fitting Room: H&M New Arrivals and Nordstrom Rack Striped Midi Dress for $22

H&M Striped Jersey Jacket

Measurements: shoulders 13.5″, armpit to armpit 15″, sleeves 19″, front length is 20″ and back length is 16.5″

This blazer runs small and fitted. The sleeves are slim and a perfect length for me. The material is 75% polyester, 22% viscose, 3% elastane. The only thing I didn’t care for was the faux pocket on the chest. I think it would have looked cleaner w/out it. It’s fully lined and I would recommend. This is from the office wear section at H&M.

This is the same jacket s as the striped version but the sleeves seem wider? Maybe it’s the picture but I would also recommend. Love the black piping and clean lines. I’m so glad they didn’t put a chest pocket on this one. This also comes in plain black.

H&M Navy Tweed Blazer

I love this blazer! It’s navy tweed and looks very expensive. The quality is amazing and I was shocked to see it at H&M. It has good weight to it and two front real pockets. This was also found in the office wear section. The price is higher than usual for a non-trend item but the quality definitely makes up for it. The only thing I don’t like are the buttons – I may swap them out for cuter ones. It has a hidden hook and eye closure in the front. I’ll have to take the sleeves up but it should be fairly easy since there are no buttons. It’s a very classic navy tweed/boucle blazer and would recommend.

I didn’t care for this dress on me. The fit was awkward and it didn’t feel right. I prefer the skirt version.

I couldn’t find either of these online (thanks Tamara S. for the blouse link) but love them both. They may look black/white in these pictures but they are indeed navy/white. The skirt is very nice quality and fully lined. It’s made out of 94% cotton and 6% elastane. The blouse is super cute and I couldn’t resist. It’s 100% poly and the size 2 fits me well. Would recommend both!
H&M Circle Skirt in powder Pink (buy here)

I saw this skirt in store but there was no size 2 for me to try on. It comes in powder pink and black. It’s very similar to my white textured flare skirt and has pockets! I’ve been dying for a blush skirt like my white one – especially after my Topshop bubble skirt was a total fail.

I didn’t see this in store but if you are looking for a striped skirt – this is an affordable option.
H&M Sleeveless Dress in yellow
I tried on the blush version last year or the year before (can’t remember – will update once I find the picture) but couldn’t find a size 2 in the yellow. I tried on the 4 and it looked ridiculous on me so I couldn’t post it. Size 2 should fit someone my size. Love the yellow color!
H&M Crinkle skirt in red (see black on me here)
This reminds me of my red textured dot skirt (see here) and small sizes are available online! 
I stopped in Nordstrom Rack and found these two striped dresses:

  1. Just a personal opinion, but I think you should get the red striped dress. You have plenty of navy striped items, so this would be unexpected. And besides, it looks fabulous on you.

  5. I really love the sleeveless dot blouse on you and the navy tweed jacket! I’m going to see if I can go to H&M sometime soon to find it the blouse. For some reason I’m not a fan of the striped dresses but if I had to choose then I like the navy and white striped one better since it’s more you. Actually I think if you hemmed the dress to be just right above your knees then it’d be perfect. The additional length past your knees seems to curl outwards instead of inwards as intended. It’s more noticeable in the red color. 😉

  9. I love those striped dresses but I can’t seem to find them anywhere! When I search for Minty, it always just leads me to mint-colored dresses and they are not on the nordstrom website. Could you provide some more information about those striped dresses, I would LOVE to purchase one! 🙂

    I have the navy fitted stripe dress from H&M. What blazer do you think would look good with it? I am looking for a more formal business look. The yellow looks nice for casual wear. What do you suggest for a more office look?
