Happy Saturday! I’m so happy the weekend is here! I’m currently doing the happy dance because I finally got this dress! I’ve been eyeballing it since the moment it came out online but at $220, I decided to be patient and wait for a sale. See, I do have some self-control when it comes to shopping. Ha! Well, I clearly waited too long because my size sold out very quickly. Darn you petite ladies! Just kidding. Seriously, I wanted this dress so badly that I was almost willing to buy the regular sizing and have it tailored. See fitting room review here.
I’m so glad I didn’t settle because 00P popped back up online and I couldn’t place the order quick enough. It had to have been a return so thank you to whoever decided to not keep it. 🙂
White House Black Market petites fits me really well. They run smaller and more fitted than most other brands that carry petites.
This dress fits me perfectly! What a huge difference the shoulders/chest area is compared to the regular sizing. I received so many compliments when I wore this the other day. Would it have been weird to prance around at work twirling my dress and skipping? Probably. LOL It’s just one of those dresses that make you feel super girly and feminine.
Let’s talk about these shoes! I know most people would frown against ankle strap shoes for petites because it makes our legs look even shorter but I don’t mind them. I like that these are two toned and the ankle strap is a nude color so it’s not as noticeable if it were a white strap. It’s very rare that I think a pair of heels are comfortable but these are extremely soft and didn’t need a breaking in period at all! I wore them all day and was on my feet for hours on end and I didn’t want to cut off my legs at the end of the day. I even wore them two days in a row – that’s how much I like them. They run TTS (true to size) which is slightly loose on me but the ankle strap helps keep my feet in place.

I always love your outfits, but also the way you write your blog posts; I feel like many other petite bloggers nowadays do sponsored posts all the time with completely random, irrelevant, ill-fitting brands, drawing away from their personal styles and the original purpose of their blogs, but you manage to keep your personal style, philosophy, and most importantly petite fit. I love that you always mention how different brands fit compared with each other. I haven’t tried anything from WHBM yet, but definitely will have to try, since some 00p items from Loft/AT/Jcrew are still big on me off the rack. Thank you Annie! X

I’m loving the fit of the 00p’s of WHBM and it runs much slimmer and more of a tailored fit than AT/Loft. Not sure what has happened to AT lately but their 00p’s no longer fit me. Loft has always run larger for me as well and hate having to tailor my clothes. I try to avoid alterations as much as possible.
