Anthropologie terrace pullover (xxsp) // AG Stevie ankle jeans (24p, diff wash) // Miss Albright Tinsley striped pumps // Anthropologie pink wool hat (cute here and here) // Kate Spade seaport faux pearl studs
Happy hump day! Today we’re going to talk about Anthropologie petites and the perfect pair of jeans. I’ve been a long time fan of Anthropologie and I love that they offer most of their items in petites. All the dresses I own from Anthro fit me so perfectly w/no alterations. How can you beat that?
I’ve been loving their sweaters and tops lately and now I’m obsessed with their petite jeans! Let’s talk about this terrace pullover sweater first. These two-in-one type of tops/sweaters have been all the craze lately and I can’t seem to get enough. It’s layering w/out all the added bulk. I adore the detailing of this sweater so much. It’s preppy meets feminine all in one sweater. Sizing runs wide and I slimmed mine to have more of fitted look. I love that all my Anthro sweater sleeves fit my short arms w/out having to roll or cuff. Here are some sweaters/tops that I’m loving (extra 25% off sale items w/code EXTRAEXTRA):
If you’ve been a long time reader of Stylish Petite, you know that I used to never wear jeans. It was a rare that I would choose a pair of jeans over a skirt/dress. Lately, I’ve been loving casual and comfy looks. Don’t get me wrong, I will always be a girly girl and still love wearing feminine pieces but I’m been on a denim kick lately.
Finding a pair of jeans is probably one of the most difficult things to shop for. Being petite (5′ tall), finding the perfect inseam is almost close to impossible. Even the shorter hems that are available, I still have to cuff and roll. I have a pair of Gap and Old Navy petite denim that are decent in length but I don’t love them as much as these.
Anthropologie carries AG jeans in petites! Hallelujah! I’ve always known that AG jeans carried a few petite pairs but none were skinny jeans. These AG Stevie petite ankle jeans (diff wash HERE) are insanely amazing! I never understood how people can spend so much on designer jeans but after getting my first pair of AG jeans back in the day, I get it!
I also have the AG Stevie distressed ankle jeans (in petite) and love them too! Neither of them are skin tight (which I love) and both have an inseam of 25.5″. I also recently tried these pilcro stet ankle petite jeans and didn’t like the fit as much. Here are all the petite denim that Anthropologie carries (most if not all are avail in regular sizes too):
Another brand I’ve been into are Paige denim. I have 2 pairs from Nordstrom (see here and here) and now found out that Anthropologie also carries Paige Denim petite jeans. Out of all the brands, Paige denim is by far the softest and most comfortable. The Verdugo cropped style is perfect for petites. For longer legged gals, the Verdugo ankle jeans is a great option.
I realized I’m wearing Anthropologie from head to toe (literally). These striped pumps are seriously my favorite. I couldn’t believe I found them and in a size 5. They are great quality, run true to size and made in Italy. They are pricey for non-leather pumps but you know I can’t say no to stripes. The heel height is 3.5″ which makes them comfortable for all day wear. I would highly recommend them.
Enough of my blabbering, that’s all I got for you.
P.S – don’t forget to come meet me on 2/28 from 1-4 at Kendra Scott at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. Details HERE! Hope to see you there! Thanks for reading! XO
