For those who love stripes and bows, this post is for you. Plus this skirt is now currently 50% off – no code needed! This ensemble is one of my favorite Summer work outfits (see previously worn here and here). Before I forget, this Thursday (7/9), Nordstrom is having their anniversary sale – one of the biggest sales of the year! If you have a Nordstrom credit card, you’ll be able to have early access and shop before the sale is available to the public on 7/17. DO NOT forget to check back here for all my sale picks! It’s going to be AMAZING and you definitely don’t want to miss out!
I love when outfits look tailored but in fact didn’t cost me anything in alterations. This embroidered white bow blouse has been very well loved and it’s under $15. It’s definitely a blouse that I seem to gravitate more towards than any other top in my closet. I love the fit so much. The blouse runs very narrow and slim. The 3/4″ sleeves is great for ladies with shorter arms. The back has a concealed zipper which makes it super easy to put on and take off without ruining your makeup (or getting it on your shirt).
Size small measures: shoulders 12″, armpit to armpit 15″, sleeves 19″, total length 19.5″.
The length runs on the shorter side (great for petites) but if you’re a taller gal, it might be too short. I would recommend sizing up if you’re unsure. You can buy it HERE.
I was happy to see Loftbring back this striped sailor skirtin a different color. Last year was light grey stripes, this year is a pompeian red (more pink to me). I really love it and it’s such a cute pencil skirt for work. I adore the button details and the pockets are an added bonus.
Here is the back of the skirt. I’m wearing size 00p and it measures:
waist 13″, hips 17″, length 19.5″.
Since the skirt is 100% cotton, the material does tend to get wrinkly especially after you sit for a long period of time. Also, the bottom portion of the skirt runs very narrow. It makes it difficult to get in/out of cars and you definitely cannot take long strides when walking. I’m a very fast walker (even in heels) and I have to force myself to slow down when wearing this skirt. Not sure why they didn’t make the slit higher in the back. Nonetheless, I love it and would recommend it. You can buy it HERE or the navy version HERE(currently 50% off – no code needed).
I’ve never really talked about these Manolo Blahnik white pumps but wanted to point out that they are worth the investment. Some people would think it’s crazy to spend so much on white pumps but I have no regrets. I took a size 34.5 and there’s still a tiny gap in the back heel. I would recommend sizing down 1/2 a size. If you’re in need of some Summer white pumps, here are some great options for you:
