FUN, FAST & FREE. That’s the motto powering the Macy’s MyStylist Service and I was lucky enough to be able to experience it firsthand. To be completely honest, I had no idea that Macy’s offered this service and am thrilled to share it with you!
It’s super simple, so let me explain how it works. The first thing you need to do is book your appointment with a Macy’s MyStylist Fashion Stylist. You can do it easily online HERE.
You will then be contacted by a stylist to confirm which location you would prefer. After which, you will then fill out a simple form that will allow the stylist to know a little bit about your size/measurements and what type of outfit(s) you are looking for. You can be as specific and detailed as you want. I wanted to have an open mind and have the stylist choose different pieces for me to try. Since I’m used to picking outfits everyday for myself, it was nice to let go of control and let them do the thinking and shopping for me!
Once I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the Macy’s MyStylist, Shaun, and welcomed into the private styling room. You are whisked off to this private room and instantly feel like a VIP since you have the full attention of the stylist. He was super friendly, enthusiastic and excited to help me put my Fall wedding outfit together.
There are several private and spacious dressing rooms so you didn’t have to go into the main fitting rooms – which I really appreciated. I walked into a rack full of pretty things for me to try. I was like a kid in a candy store!
I was really impressed at how many options my stylist had all ready in advance for me to try on! He had pulled an entire rack of outfit options. The amount of time this saved me from having to scour the store was truly amazing! I ultimately decided on this BCBGeneration floral mock-neck lace trapeze dress. It was exactly what I was hoping for. I love the burgundy and cream colors with a touch of lace. Plus the cut of the dress was perfect for my baby bump.
Shaun helped me pick out some burgundy Michael Kors pumps to go with my dress. I wanted something simple and comfortable enough to be on my feet for several hours.
He paired it with a Vince Camuto snakeskin blush clutch and my head to toe look for an upcoming Fall wedding was complete in no time at all!
If you’re looking for a special occasion outfit or to build an entirely new wardrobe, you must give Macy’s MyStylist a try. It saves so much time and the best part is, it’s a completely free service! Fun, fast and free? It really is so the question is…why wouldn’t you?
P.S. Here’s a quick tip: If you are inside of a Macy’s store and want to head straight to one of their Fashion Stylists, just look for the green name badge which is how they are identified! π

That dress is so cute! I’ve never used a stylist before and it’s funny – I was JUST talking to a coworker about hers earlier today. Maybe I should try one!

Very cool! I’ve used Nordstrom’s stylists before and had a great experience. It’s good to know that Macy’s is doing that too. (I believe they also offer alterations.) I love the burgundy, lace dress you picked…it’s so chic and beautiful!
