8 Stores With The Easiest (Most Flexible) Return Policies

1. Nordstrom
Hands down, Nordstrom has the most generous and customer friendly return policy.  There is no time limit on returns or exchanges which means you can return anything, at anytime, for any reason.  There are no written policies against returning items that have been worn (with the exception for special occasion dresses).  You can also return items without a receipt (depending on a case-by-case basis).  If you received an item as a gift, all they need is the gift givers name and they can easily look up the purchase.  They make it super easy and hassle free, plus they offer FREE return shipping via mail (my favorite part).  They even provide a pre-paid return label and email you when they receive the returned item(s) to let you know the refund has been processed.  This saves so much time and money especially for busy bodies who don’t have time to go to the store.  I also love that they offer online chat so you can easily get help without ever picking up the phone.  Do people still use phones to talk?  🙂  Click HERE to start shopping at Nordies!

2. Anthropologie
Anthropologie’s return policy is pretty awesome.  If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it at any time.  There is no time limit and you will receive a full refund if you have a receipt.  You can even return items purchased over a year ago with or without a receipt.  If you don’t have a receipt, they’ll give you the current price of the item.  The only thing I would ask them to change is the shipping and return shipping options.  It’s pretty rare that they offer free shipping and usually you have to spend $150+.  I would also love if they offered free return shipping however they do provide a pre-paid label but $5.95 is deducted from your return total.  Click HERE to start shopping at Anthro!

3. Macy’s
Macy’s return policy also provides no time limit on returns.  You can return items that are unworn, unwashed and unused and at any time.  Returning items without a receipt?  No problem.  Macy’s will give you store credit at the lowest selling price within the last 180 days.  If you’re returning a gift with a gift receipt, you’ll receive store credit.  I wish they would offer free shipping with no minimum, however, they do offer free returns via mail which makes up for it.  I love that they email you a confirmation once they receive the return which helps keep track of your refunds.  Click HERE to start shopping Macy’s!

4. Bloomingdale’s
Bloomingdale’s is another retailer that made the cut and that’s because they also do not have a time limit on returns.  You can return most items (including sale items) at any time.  There are some exceptions and you can see the special return guidelines HERE. 5. Zappos
When you think of Zappos, you automatically think of shoes.  Even though they initially started off selling only shoes, they now offer a vast variety of items including accessories and clothes.  The reason why they made this list is because they offer a 1 year return policy. Their return policy is “If you’re not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return it for a full refund.”  Shipping is always free and you never need a receipt.  Everything is tracked online and you can feel free to order and try items on in the comfort of your own home and return the ones that you don’t want.  Click HERE to start shopping Zappos.

6. Neiman Marcus 
If you aren’t satisfied with your Neimans purchase for any reason, you can return items at any time. There is no time limit however, the item must be unworn, unwashed, tags attached with vendor packaging.  A bit more strict than the other retailers but still pretty darn flexible. 7. Target
Target allows you to return unopened and undamaged items within a 90 day time frame.  Electronics have only a 30 day window and for any Target brand items, you get 365 days to return them.  If you have a receipt, you will get a full refund.  If you have a gift receipt, you’ll receive a credit or exchange.  Click HERE to start shopping at Target!

8. Nordstrom Rack
