Summertime in New York is alluring and romantic. Picnics in Central Park with the sunlight kissing your face. Window shopping all the fabulous stores in Soho. Taking long walks after the rain has fallen in Upper West Side. Jumping onto a ferry adventure over to Staten Island. Catching a cab to see the latest Broadway show. There’s something about the Summer vibe that just feels right.
I’ve always wanted to go to New York to experience the rush and electric energy of the city that I’ve heard so much about. Even though I’m on the complete opposite side of the country, Summertime in Newport Beach is also magical.
Whether I’m dining alfresco with my loves at our favorite cafe or sipping freshly brewed lemon ice tea with a sprig of mint leaves in the backyard listening to Italian music, vacation is a state of mind. 
Life is a bit slower on the coast. Morning pit stops at our local flower shop. Long walks with my toes in the sand and the salty ocean breeze flowing through my hair. The smell of the ocean water and the symphony of the waves crashing against as we watch the glorious bursts of light at sunrise.
Sipping on a glass of vino as the sun sets below the oceans horizons while illuminating the clouds with magnificent shades of orange, pink and purple. This is my idea of Summertime.
