It’s safe to say I’m obsessed with the color pink. I was so excited when I saw this pink blazer online! I didn’t even hesitate to order it and hoped I would like it as much as my textured one button blazer (see review HERE). In case you missed out on the Charlie patent bow pumps (see HERE), THIS is the newer version. If pink isn’t your thing, HERE are several colors in suede. I’m so mad I missed out on the sweet violet color! Size 5’s weren’t available when it first came out online and then next thing you know, it’s already sold out. I know the struggle is real. lol
Even though I’m no longer in the corporate world, I still have meetings and appointments where I want to look polished and professional. This business casual outfit is great when you want to look put together yet still have a casual vibe. I love the color palette for Summer and this blazer and these pumps will transition easily into Fall with burgundy and navy tones.
Ann Taylor Single Button Blazer in Vintage Petal
Measurements: shoulders 13.5″, armpit to armpit 16″, sleeves 22″, total length 22.5″
Let’s review this blazer shall we? Sizing runs true to size. I’m wearing 00p and it fits me perfectly however the sleeves are very long! I have them tucked up for the sake of this post but plan on tailoring it or cuffing them up. The quality is really nice and the buttons on the sleeves are functional. It’s a really nice feature however it makes it difficult and more expensive to tailor. This is always a good indicator of a high quality blazer. If you don’t want to take up the sleeves, you can opt to just cuff them up once and it looks great that way too. The material is textured and soft however it does not have much stretch. The sleeves are slim so if you plan on layering with long sleeves, it may be a bit tight. I love the color and it has all the features of a classic blazer. This gets a thumbs up from me! I would definitely recommend it. It also comes in a gorgeous ivory white color HERE.
Now on to these bow pumps! I can never say no to bows so clearly I needed these in my life. My Charlie bow pumps had a defect so I had to return them and then my size never came back in stock. I was pretty bummed about it so you can imagine how happy I was when these came out.
Ann Taylor Odette Patent Leather Bow Pumps
They are EXACTLY the same color and style as the Charlie patent bow pumps but the design of the bow is different. The bow on the new version is much flatter and wider than the bow on the Charlie pumps. The only thing I don’t like is how there is a small gap above the bow. I wish they wouldn’t have done this but you can barely see it so I think I’ll get over it. They are very comfortable and the heel height measures 3 1/4″ which is great for all day wear. Sizing runs true to size and I’m wearing my normal size 5. I would highly recommend them!
Ann Taylor single button blazer (00P) // Odette bow pumps (suede colors HERE) // Ann Taylor striped shirt (old, similar HERE or HERE) // Ann Taylor lariat pearlized necklace // White jeans // Chloe marcie small satchel // Mason Pave ring // YSL lipstick in fetish pink // Kate Spade seaport earrings
I’m also loving this ruffled floral shell (also got in pink HERE) and lace peplum top (see review HERE). This mixed floral fit and flare dress arrived but I can already tell it’s way too long and I haven’t even tried it on yet. I mentioned in a previous post that I was going to review this white collarless jacket but it’s so horrid, I won’t even waste my time. The quality is subpar, material was thin and the fit is huge. That’s all I’ve got for you today! Thanks for reading! XO
