I’m a such a girly girl. Always have been and always will be. I’m the one that is usually overdressed – even when I go to the grocery store (lol). I feel my best when I’m wearing a skirt. I have no idea why this is but there’s just something about it that makes me feel great. A skirt is one item that I desperately missed wearing while I was pregnant last year. Add bold stripes (and pockets) to the mix and be still my heart!

I’m head over heels in love with this striped midi skirt! Do I need another striped skirt? No. Do I want another one? A skirt with pockets, requires no alterations and comes in XXS? Yes please! I love finding petite friendly items that aren’t specifically made for petites. It’s like winning the lottery for me (lol). Sounds silly but finding clothes that fit without having to pay for alterations is always a major plus. I used to think that I had to shop in the petite section but thanks to brands like ModCloth, there are other options for us petite gals!

Dusk and Stunner Striped Midi Skirt

Measurements: waist laying flat 12″, total length 25″

A classic striped skirt is a must and I love everything about this one. The quality is amazing and I was thrilled that it’s made out of cotton and not polyester. Even the lining is 100% cotton – this is so rare and if you have sensitive skin like I do, you will truly appreciate this! The waist has an elasticized back however the skirt does not have any stretch to it so I’d recommend possibly sizing up if you are unsure. I’m wearing XXS and the waist measures 12″ across. The length hits me right below the knees – a perfect midi length. As a reference, I’m 5′ tall (4′ 11.75″ to be exact) and if I can pull this length off, anyone can. Last but not least… it has pockets! Yes, I have a thing with pockets.

Dream of the Crop Cardigan

I’m obsessed with crop cardigans. They are so perfect to pair with pencil skirts, midi skirts and over dresses. This is the BEST sweater EVER! It comes in nine different colors HERE. I have the white color and may need to pick up the navy and moss green also. It provides a great way to cover up your arms for the office or on chilly days. I’m always cold so I usually carry a cardigan with me everywhere I go. Sizing runs true to size and I’m wearing XXS. Let me tell ya, it fits like a dream! Sweater sleeves rarely fit me and I usually have to scrunch them up but this fit is spot on. Seriously, I’m in love with this cardigan. Here are all the colors available:

Mustard, black and white go together so well don’t they? It’s one of my favorite color combos to wear all year round and this outfit will transition nicely into Fall. I love that you can wear this ensemble anywhere. To work, school, Church and even out and about on the weekends. It’s modest yet still stylish.

Buffalo Plaid Shirt Dress

Measurements: shoulders across 13.5″, waist laying flat 12″, armpit to armpit 15″, length 38.5″

I was going to wait until the weather was a bit cooler to share this plaid dress but it’s just too cute and I know it will sell out before then. Is this not the perfect dress for Fall? I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing it is! I love the colors and it’s such a classic buffalo plaid print. You know an item is REALLY good when I over use exclamation points to show you my excitement (lol)! The dress is 100% cotton and is very soft and comfortable.

I’m wearing size XXS and it’s petite friendly. The sleeves have button tabs which I normally have issues with (they always fall down) but these actually stay put (yay)! This alleviates me from having to scrunch them up or adjust them every two seconds. The material does not have any stretch so I’d recommend sizing up if you are unsure. For any mommas out there that are breast feeding, this dress is nursing friendly!
