How to survive the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Are you overwhelmed by the Nordstrom anniversary sale?  This year is extremely intense! There’s so much hype built around it and it’s a lot to take in.  I stayed up until 3 am the other night and woke up at 5:30. I’m exhausted and it’s only the second day!  In case you missed in, click HERE to see my top 25 picks.  I was supposed to review the items I bought but my packages never arrived today and I paid for overnight shipping!  Clearly Nordstrom had a lot of glitches during the first day of the pre-sale. Hopefully they have it fixed now.  If you missed out on something, don’t worry because it’ll more than likely pop back up and popular items will be re-stocked when the sale is open to everyone. I have a feeling inventory is withheld for the second half of the anniversary sale but that’s just my guess.  I noticed a couple of my favorite purchases from last year have been re-stocked and marked down.  This drapey camel cardigan and utility jacket are great fall staples and I’d recommend both!

I was so shocked to see one of my favorite cardigans from last year is back and on sale!  This is a great fall staple and goes with everything. I’ve worn it so many times that I almost wish I had a back up. Sizing says it runs large but it’s true to size.  See original post here.

I like this tiered striped maxi dress way better than the gingham dress I reviewed on HERE. It’s not as heavy or overwhelming however the length is shorter. It would look much better with flats (have on tall sandals). I was in a rush (as usual) and was too lazy to grab a pair of flats.

I wasn’t expecting this to fit but surprisingly it’s not bad.  The length is pretty long and only works if I have on these platform wedge sandals.  Even with tall shoes on, the length still hits the floor.  This would fit much better on someone a couple inches taller than me (I’m 5′).  The straps in the back are a little loose but doable. Love the color and print for summer.  Would be great for a summer wedding or vacation!

If you need a cute swimsuit, this floral one piece is only $40 + free shipping!  Sizing runs small so I’d recommend going up a size or 2. I took size US 2 and it fits like a 00. The cups have padding and the back has full coverage (woo hoo!). The cut is very flattering and hides a lot of problem areas.  Love and would recommend!

How pretty is this dress? I don’t know what it is but I love it so much! The length is long on me and I plan on taking it up a couple of inches right below my knees. I think this will look much better and give it better proportions. Thank you to all the ladies that gave their input on Instagram.

If you’re trying to keep up with this insane sale, don’t kill yourself over it.  Hopefully my picks and reviews will make it easier on you to shop.

Tip: If your item or size is currently sold out, add it to your home screen on your phone (looks like an app icon) or bookmark it on your computer and check it frequently.  This works like a charm and I’ve been able to score sold out items using this method for years!
