Review: Olive Jeans, Scallop Sweater, Drapey Cardigan (plus weekend sales)

Happy Friday!  Here’s what’s happening this weekend as far as sales go.  Ann Taylor is having their Friends of Ann event – get 40% off everything with code: FRIENDS40 and cardmembers earn double points.  I’m loving these bow pumps and this flare sweater dress – great pieces for fall.  Loft is having buy one, get one 50% off select full price items.  I ordered this marled shirttail sweater last week and this sleeveless coatigan has potential.  J.Crew Factory is having buy one pair of shoes, get one free with code: SHOESPLZ – this sale has NEVER happened before!  I would highly recommend getting these buttery leather loafers.  Only two more days to shop Nordstrom summer sale – tons of great deals!  Just ordered this cute pink pitcher that I plan on using as a flower vase.

It was completely by chance that I stumbled upon these olive jeans while working on a project for Nordstrom Rack. I have a pair from Old Navy that I just never quite loved so I decided to try these out.  I couldn’t believe how soft and amazing they were when I tried them on.  My go-to white jeans are also Verdugo jeans but for some reason these olive ones fit so much better.

Sizing runs a bit on the smaller side however it does have some stretch.  I’m wearing size 24 petite and it fits like a glove.  The material is so soft and comfortable.  I’m thrilled to have found these!  The price is unbelievable especially for designer jeans.  You can try asking Paige or Nordstrom to price match if they carry the same pair.

I’ve been raving about this scallop hem sweater on my Insta stories and finally am getting around to reviewing it.  All I have to say is add it to your cart!  I love it to pieces and prefer it over the Halogen scallop sweater from the Nordstrom anniversary sale!  I have it both pink and white.  Would highly recommend!

This boucle cardigan is another item that I stumbled upon and ended up loving.  It comes in petites and super cozy.  Sizing runs true to size and I’m wearing XSP.  This is the first item I’ve purchased from this brand so I’m not sure if they carry XXSP.  Nordstrom Rack has so many great things lately!  I’m loving this, this and this.

I know I’ve said this before but these buttery soft loafers are AMAZING!  Softest pair of flats I own and they do not require a breaking in period.  Buy one pair and get the second pair FREE!  Plus my entire outfit is on sale.

Remember my favorite poncho from THIS POST?  Well this year, the new version (see below) is even better!  Comes in three different colors.  I’m hoping it’s the same fit as last year.  I’m wearing XXS above and it’s petite friendly.

P.S – My heart goes out to Houston. 🙁  It’s so devastating and makes my heart ache knowing people had to leave their homes or had their homes destroyed.  I can’t even begin to imagine what that would even feel like.  Also, if you’re on the East coast and evacuating for Hurricane Irma, please stay safe.  I have family in Georgia and am worried sick!  My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families affected. XO

  1. Omg I had those olive pants in my cart yesterday but then found some grey jeans on sale. I really wanted both but my budget only allowed for the grey jeans this time. I’m so glad you gave them a good review and I may have to reconsider now since “the struggle is real” to find colored petite pants that are good quality. So glad to have discovered Nordstrom Rack online ????

  2. Great review! I’ve never bought shoes from J. Crew. Would you say they’re TTS? I’m between a 5 or 5.5.

  3. Hello, I really love your styles and have purchased a few items per your recommendations. Could you please do more post for mommy and me clothes? My daughter is almost 2 years old and I love to wear matching clothes with her. Also could you do a post for which bra/bralettes to wear with which tank tops or dresses? I’m having a hard time wearing right bra for a certain top or dress. Thank you!
