Classic Fall Work Outfit: Camel Wrap Coat

Coat: Ann Taylor wrap coat (size XXSP) | Skirt: Banana Republic (old, similar HERE) | Turtleneck: Ann Taylor wool cashmere turtleneck sweater (size XXSP) | Shoes: Halogen bow pumps (similar HERE) | Handbag: Tory Burch mini Robinson tote (similar HERE) | Cuff: c/o kate spade bauble cuff | Watch: c/o kate spade

Based on the number of coats I have in my closet, you’d think that I live somewhere really cold.  I don’t know what it is but I just love coats and always have.  Granted it does get in the 40’s during the winter time which obviously warrants a coat (lol) but right now it’s been in the triple digits near the coast!  I love this camel coat so much (see previous review HERE).

I cannot get enough of this camel wrap coat.  It’s seriously amazing!  So looking forward to cooler temperatures so I can actually wear it without being #sweatybetty.

You know how some coats look better either open or closed?  Luckily this coat looks great both ways.  I think I prefer it open.  FYI – the self tie belt is a bit bulky when you tie a bow and it’s very hard to get it just right due to the thickness of the material.  Takes me several tries and if I don’t have a mirror in front of me, it’s almost impossible.  I couldn’t tie it perfectly for these photos but you get the idea.

If you’re looking for a simple winter white turtleneck, I love this wool cashmere one.  You can tuck it in pencil skirts or wear alone with jeans or work pants (see HERE).  It’s a chunky knit without the bulk.  Available in four colors and comes in regular and petite sizes.  Would definitely recommend.

As much as I love trends, I love classic pieces even more.  If you’re going to invest in a nice coat, I would recommend getting one that you know you will wear more than one season.  This camel coat goes with everything and the quality is amazing.  I love the fit however the sleeves will need to be taken up (easy fix).  I also have this gray shawl collar coat (see review HERE).  Very similar fit and style but the only difference is the collar.  Love them both and would recommend!

Let’s hope this heat waves ends soon because it’s unbearable.  I’m SO ready for cooler weather and apparently so is my closet. 🙂

  14. I’m impressed, I have to admit. Genuinely rarely should i encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you may have hit the nail about the head. Your idea is outstanding; the problem is an element that insufficient persons are speaking intelligently about. I am delighted we came across this during my look for something with this.
