Why is it SO difficult finding boots that fit? If you’re petite or have short legs, you know exactly what I’m talking about. The struggle is REAL. I know I’ve touched on this topic many times over the years but it seems to be a never ending quest to finding the perfect pair of boots. It shouldn’t be this hard yet it seems like such an impossible task.
This is my third pair of Stuart Weitzman boots and I’m wincing as I type this because they are clearly not cheap. I’ve been asked a million times if they are REALLY worth the splurge and honestly, I’d have to say yes. They are one of the few boots that run very narrow – perfect for small calves and petite gals. I’ve had my gray topo suede Highland pair for years and wear them all the time. I never regretted paying full price for them. If you average out all the times you wear them plus how many years you’ll have them, it doesn’t hurt as much (lol).
These Hiline over the knee boots seem to be the updated version of the Highland boots. They changed the suede (according to the sales associate I spoke to). It feels much softer and thicker. Also the heel is now a curved half moon blocked heel. They are very comfortable and yes you can walk in them for many hours.
The shaft height is slightly taller compared to the Highland boots. There’s about a 1.5-2″ difference. Still looks great on petite gals and definitely gives the illusion of really long legs!
If these aren’t your style, here are some other great over the knee boot options:
If you happen to have short legs and haven’t been able to find a pair of boots, I’d recommend these. I’d rather have a couple of great pairs of boots that are high quality and will last for many years verses a bunch of not so great boots that you only get to wear a few times. Yes they’re an investment but one that’s worth it in the long run. 🙂
