This is my third or fourth Banana Republic trench coat. I just love how they fit. The only downside are the sleeves. They need to be taken up a couple of inches (at least for me). It should be an easy fix since there’s extra length that shouldn’t compromise the belted cuffs. I usually scrunch up my trench coat sleeves anyway so I’m in no rush. Still looks good!
I love the fabric – so soft and high quality. It’s made in 100% cotton from the world-renowned Limonta mill in Italy. Sold! You know I love Italian fabrics and products (lol). I quickly compared this to my Burberry Classic Trench and honestly, I like the fabric on this one much better (much softer and less stiff) and it’s a fraction of the price. The golden beige color is classic and timeless. Highly recommend!

Hi Annie, I love trench coats and got BR’s spring one in pink that I think you may have as well, but I’m finding that the material is pretty stiff compared to the camel colored one that I also got. Is there anything you do to ‘soften’ it up, without using actual fabric softener?
Hi Sarah! Yeah the pink trench material is definitely stiffer. I haven’t done anything diff to soften it up and not sure if it’s even possible? I do however steam it which seems to make it slightly better. Have you tried that? I don’t use any fabric softener- those are so toxic lol
Hi Annie, can you comment on how the color of this trench coat compares to the J.crew icon trench? Or any other tan colored trench coat? (I have the J.crew icon trench and if they are similar in color, I proabbaly might not look into this BR one). Thanks.
Hi Mary! Oh gosh I’m trying to remember what color the icon trench is exactly in real life…I believe the BR one is slightly different but not by much. It almost has more of a honey tone to it compared to a classic trench color. Hope this makes sense lol
