It’s been awhile since Milan’s made an appearance on the blog. Things have been tough for us this year but we’re hanging in there. We got this.
Every parent I’ve ever spoken to has warned me about the “threeanger” stage and how it’s so much harder than the terrible twos. I didn’t believe it until I went through it. It’s no joke. The twos were actually way easier!
Today we are partnering up with Walmart to share this adorable back to school outfit for toddlers. I have to be honest, dressing Milan has become way more difficult now that she has her own personality and opinions. I used to be able to put her in anything at anytime with no problems. Now, she will decide what she wants to wear and how she will wear it (lol).
I’m so obsessed with all the kids clothes at Walmart. So many adorable items and this outfit is everything. I rarely find shorts that fit her little waist. These fit perfectly and didn’t slip down the whole day. Plus the pockets are functional! I can’t even with her hands in her pockets. 🙂
Milan is very particular about her shoes and I was thrilled when she liked these unicorn high top sneakers. She wanted to wear them right away and wouldn’t take them off. This girl likes shoes just like her mama! Ha ha. 🙂
Sizing runs true size and Milan is now a size 7. They’re super easy to put on/take of and very comfortable for active toddlers.
I recently bought a ton of clothes for Milan to wear to pre-school. So many great deals and the prices are amazing! Kids grow out of things so quickly – especially at this age! I can barely keep up these days! I also noticed her clothes get ruined easily at school so it’s nice that I can a whole batch of clothes without breaking the bank.
If you’re looking for back to school clothes and shoes for kids, Walmart has everything! Here are some other items I picked up and a few of my recommendations:

I’m going to enjoy dressing her for as long as I can because I know the day will come when she won’t let me anymore. Let’s hope that isn’t any time soon. 🙂
Top: Wonder Nation Rufffle Sleeve Top (size 2T) | Shorts: Wonder Nation Denim Shorts with sash belt (size 2T) | Shoes: Wonder Nation Unicorn high top sneakers | Tights: Cable knit tights
Thank you Walmart for sponsoring this post.
Such a pretty little girl. Love these pictures. So sweet. Walmart is a great place to buy children’s clothes. You are right about children outgrowing clothes fast and getting messing with permanent food, marker and paint stains on their clothes. LOL. Your little ones can go to school looking cute and it doesn’t break the bank. Thank you for sharing this post. This is a great idea and place to go.
Can you do a stylish frugal girl bedroom for a 4 to 5 year old. something you would not have a come apart if they messed it up LOL? Thank you
There’s a kindergarten pic of me wearing a turquoise top and shorts set with navy socks and white shoes. Because that’s what I wanted to wear lol. My mom let me pick whatever because it was quicker out the door.
And thank goodness my grandmother sewed! Nothing stayed on my waist until Slim sizes were introduced. She had to alter everything and made me several skirts. The bane of the petite lol.
There’s a lady that does good but cheap alterations on Lincoln in Anaheim at a thrift store. Basic pants hem is $5. Lots of good reviews.
