Even though today’s post is about how to style your bump, it’s still relevant for non-expecting gals too!
I’ve always found that form fitting clothes look best on my figure. This is most definitely the case for when I’m preggo. Since I’m just under 5′ tall with a round belly, oversized outfits do not look flattering on me. I end up looking frumpy and wide. It’s just a good look all around. Haha! For real, some things cannot be unseen and it’s best I do not walk around looking like a potato sack.
I tend to gravitate towards body-con dresses and then top off with a belt to show off my baby bump. If you don’t feel comfortable with body-con dresses or tops, you can always opt for something a little less form fitting and still use a belt to cinch your waist/accentuate your bump.
I think the number one and most important factor when styling your bump is comfort. However, this does not mean you have to compromise on style. I have to feel comfortable but I also want to look and feel great. Especially during the months when it gets harder and harder to get dressed and nothing seems to fit or look right. I remember when I was pregnant with Milan, I did not feel or look my best. Not by choice but this time around, I am making a huge effort to do everything I can to make myself feel good. It makes such an impact on your emotional well being – pregnant or not!
My style doesn’t change much during pregnancy. My advice is to wear what you feel best in. As long as it makes you feel great, then I say do whatever it takes! If it’s extra chilly outside, I’ll throw on a long cardigan and add the belt on top of the cardigan. Another great option if you want a bit more coverage for work.
On a side note, I’m 15 weeks and starting to feel a little relief from my nausea. Yay! It still comes and goes but so much better than it was the first three months. I have a little bit more energy but it takes me longer and slower to do chores/tasks. 🙂

Aw thank you so much Rose 🙂
You look so cute with your baby bump. Love the idea of belted sweater dresses and you styled this outfit well.
