Pink, White and Gold Christmas Tree + Christmas Village

Our Christmas tree is finally done!  I had so much fun decorating this year.

Milan and I worked on our first Christmas village together and I love how it turned out.  It’ll definitely be a family tradition each year.  I can’t wait until Meadow gets a little older to help.  Can you even imagine how precious Milan and Meadow will be doing it together? 🙂

I don’t know what got into me this year but I really got into decorating for Christmas.  It was the first year I truly decorated our tree.  All the other years I just threw on some ornaments and called it a day but this year was just different.  It felt extra special.

I tried using ribbon for the first time – two different styles (long curly strands and a bow).  Instead of a star at the top, I found these icicle twigs (not sure what they are called) at TJMaxx and used them as a tree topper.  My favorite ornaments are these large ones from Michaels and a special engagement ornament seen in this video.

One thing I will say to start shopping for holiday decor early!  I got super lucky and shopped for holiday stuff way back in October.  When everyone was doing Fall decor, I was scooping up all the pretty Christmas stuff at Home Goods!

These Instagram famous gingerbread houses came back this year at Home Goods and TJmaxx stores.  It seemed impossible to find and I tried so hard (lol).  I was able to get the mini gingerbread house cloche from TJmaxx online and felt like I won the lottery.  Unfortunately I paid an exorbitant amount for the large gingerbread house on the left.  People are buying them and reselling for 10x the price online.  It’s absolutely insane!

I could not find a white tree collar that was large enough for the base of my new tree.  I opted for this gold hammered tree collar from Crate & Barrel.  It’s the largest diameter I could find (34″) and fits my tree perfectly.  I love the elegance it gives to the tree.  It also comes in a smaller 27″ diameter.

Milan decorated her mini tree and had a blast.  I’m thinking I may need to get a slightly larger tree next year because we are running out of room to hang stuff.  As you can see we collect Starbucks holiday ornaments each year.  They are too stinkin’ cute but so hard to find.

Only 16 days until Christmas!  So excited to see the kids open gifts.  Meadow is going to love all the boxes and paper. Hehe

  1. Christmas trees can fit in every room but bathrooms! Heh. I love seeing a tree in the houses with front bay and picture windows around here.

My grandmothers set me up for a mini tree so it’d be full by adulthood. A mini Hallmark ornament attached to one of my gifts every year. I own two now, though I don’t always get everything out.

At least in normal years, tons of decorations on clearance close to and after Christmas Day, so it’s a good time to look for extra sets from Target, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, dollar stores, etc. Plus deals from higher price stores with individual crafted ornaments. The Lakeshore Collection catalog is also a reasonable price decorations option.

  2. Your Christmas village is beautiful!!!
I love it!!! Thanks for the idea!!!!
Merry Christmas to you, your daughters and your fiancé!!!🎄😊
