Earlier this month, our family embarked on a journey to North Carolina, a special trip to introduce Meadow to my husband’s side of the family for the very first time. The experience was nothing short of amazing, with the warm charm of the South reminiscent of the legendary “Minnesota nice” we’re accustomed to.
Our home away from home during this memorable adventure was The Ballantyne Hotel in the beautiful city of Charlotte, NC. The hospitality we encountered from everyone we met echoed the famed Southern hospitality you always hear about.
Watching Meadow meet her Auntie, cousins, Grandpa, and Grandma was a truly heartwarming experience. Though time was limited, the moments we shared were etched into our memories forever. Both girls had a wonderful time.😊
The journey was quite the whirlwind for our little ones, as we split our time between Minnesota and North Carolina, spending four days with my family and four days in the North Carolina. A tight schedule was imperative, as I had to ensure Milan was back in time for her first day of second grade. In hindsight, it was a lot of pressure, and I might think twice before attempting such a feat again. 😄
Let’s also take a moment to talk about these mommy and me matching dresses. Although I couldn’t quite coax Milan into an outdoor photoshoot, Meadow and I managed to capture some precious moments together. While I often feel a guilty if both kids aren’t in the photos, I remind myself that Milan and I shared 4.5 wonderful years together, so it’s only fair that Meadow gets her moments with just Mommy and her. 😊
