Sharing another maxi skirt paired with a lace top…
Top: H&M (old, similar HERE or HERE) | Skirt: Morning Lavender (size XXSP) | Heels: Chinese Laundry
Over the past weekend, my family and I enjoyed some quality time in the vibrant Gaslamp district of downtown San Diego. There’s something truly special about exploring new places with my daughters, and even though we’ve visited this area numerous times, it never ceases to surprise us.
Our adventure led us to some fantastic attractions like the train museum, the Science Fleet Center, and the Children’s Museum. Needless to say, it was an exhilarating and action-packed day, keeping us on our toes throughout. But witnessing the sheer joy on my girls’ faces made it all worthwhile.
My personal style tends to lean towards being overdressed, a choice that never fails to uplift my spirits. After all, who can resist the allure of a graceful maxi skirt perfect for twirling? Interestingly, the backdrop for these photos was a hotel rumored to be haunted, or at least one of its rooms. Spooky, isn’t it? As for the lace top I’m wearing, it’s from my early blogging days and despite its age, it’s still one of my favorites.
In the past, I hesitated to embrace maxi skirts, under the misconception that petite individuals couldn’t quite pull off the look. However, I’ve come to realize that we can indeed rock this style with confidence. This particular maxi skirt, in XXSP sizing, fits me flawlessly without the need for any alterations. A minimum of a 2″ heel is a must, but the overall length is just right. For those interested, there’s also a charming mustard yellow version available, which you can find HERE.
