Swan Themed Birthday Party: Milan Turns 8

Milan turns 8 years old!

Can you believe Milan just turned 8? It’s a whirlwind of emotions. It feels like just yesterday she was a tiny baby, and now she’s already in 2nd grade! Time flies by so quickly. Milan is truly remarkable. Her intelligence continues to amaze me – she’s reading at a level well beyond her years, and her teachers can’t sing her praises enough. While there were some challenging years dealing with her tantrums, things took a turn for the better last November, and she’s been a delight ever since.

Her sense of humor is something else – sharp, witty, and always ready with a clever remark. For her birthday, she insisted on a swan theme, even though we’d already done one for Meadow’s first birthday. I didn’t argue with her choice, and managed to repurpose a few things from Meadow’s party while adding some new touches. Despite battling severe allergies on the morning of her party (just like her mama), Milan wasn’t exactly in the mood for photos. Thankfully, I managed to snap a few shots.

Overall, her birthday celebration was a huge success, and she declared it the best one ever – so I guess I’ve done my job.:)
